Plainfield GREEN. Police chief gave me no problems and even said I could apply for my machine gun license, if I wanted to. I went with the LTC-A. He believes strongly of peoples 2A rights and will surely issue an LTC-A to any one with a clean history.

Outstanding! We need more CLEO's like him.

Anyone know about Cochituate? It's not on the list. Is this 'part' of anopther town or is it a seperate town? If it falls under another jurisdiction, which one?

Cochituate is Wayland (actually, the southern part of Wayland near the intersection of Routes 27 and 30) and Wayland is still green.

Weston is GREEN

2nd renewal and it's still green. Getting an appointment was kind of a PITA but they
were all very nice and it took about 5 weeks give or take.

I'm not sure I'd list Holyoke as Green, my friend only got a B with no criminal record.

Really a class B - not even an A with restrictions?
If that is the case I would private message the OP of the thread and let him know of that situation. The list could be updated with the concern.

Len, Holyoke also changed police chiefs. Which may be why the change.

Yep, Chief Anthony Scott isn't there anymore.

From masslive.com at http://www.masslive.com/news/index.ssf/2011/07/new_holyoke_police_chief_james.html

Police Chief James M. Neiswanger Tuesday marked his first day on the job by attending roll calls at the Police Station and fielding appearance requests from local groups, delivering a common message: He’s available.

“I’m going to be communicating a community policing policy and ... I have an open-door policy: If they have anything to discuss, I’m willing to listen,” Neiswanger said.

Neiswanger, 48, takes over the Holyoke Police Department after having been a police captain in Manchester, Conn. for 25 years.

That's good news, right?

Burlington green - just moved to MA from ME and got my LTC A - ALP with no real big issues. Everyone is very respectful and easy to work with. Highly recommend this town

Haverhill (Green) - 46 days Class A LTC no restrictions. I'm 22 years old with a clean record. Call to book your appointment ASAP. The waiting list is about a month and a half long. Heading to Four Seasons this week!

Any update on East Bridgewater, I see almost no experiences from this town, not sure if that's a good thing or not. I do see it is listed as Green
We don't have a lot of data points on East Bridgewater, but all the reports we have at Comm2A are for unrestricted LTC/A.

Bobo - sorry to hear you're having such a tough time & your other thread got closed. Suffice it to say that the LO's can deny you based on ANYTHING, OR NOTHING AT ALL!. They don't like the shoes you're wearing, or how you dress, or if you walk funny, they can just consider you unsuitable. What-all did you do to get a CWOF, anyway???

My experience in Stow was only positive. And that FAQ can't be found except through a search on the website, it isn't actually linked from the PD's webpage. In any case, they weren't written by the Stow PD at all. At the bottom of Page 4 there is the notation: "THE QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS WERE PROVIDED COMPLIMENTS OF COMMONWEALTH POLICE SERVICES". The current page that deals with firearms licensing is: http://www.stow-ma.gov/Pages/StowMA_Police/firehome

That's true for LTCs but *not* true for the FID. If you aren't statutorily disqualified, they have to give you one.

I saw in the Springfield Republican that the police chief in Wilbraham will retire by the end of the year.

I'm moving to Mansfield next week. I have a restricted Ltc from Plainville. I renew next year. I heard Mansfield requires
three letters of recommendation. Does anyone know if they require that for renewals?
