Like, I know its more akin to the pulse shooting gun and comparing it to a ar is like comparing a vz58 to a AK, but at the end of the day, is this really any more "deadly"?

It's more like and AR-10 with a new cartridge.

Insofar as the projectile is more massive and carries more energy further, and is designed to overcome modern armor? Sure it's potentially more "deadly" as it's potentially more effective. Putting a big hurt on things at distance is kind of one of the really big things rifle cartridges are for.

Not even close. The fact it's designed to fire a cartridge pushing a 80,000 chamber pressure makes it significantly different. In reality, it's closer to the AR10mseries. Every one will be equipped with the suppressor. The real marvel is the optic system. I was given a quick overview the other day and it's impressive. Significantly more than a standard ballistic calculator system.
