Killing in the Hilltowns: Mass. man on trial after shooting home invader - Brian Camp vs. John Letendre

Read only half the story so far, to the 8 minutes between shots thing.
In MA, that's gonna be tough sell.

Just saying: If my girls ex broke in and I shot him in the stomach and he was bleeding out on the floor in front of me, that'd be enough for me, don't think I'd do the head shot thing.
🤓
He may have had enough left in him to make another attempt to attack. Perhaps the shooter was waiting for police and the perp got to his feet and charged the shooter.

The forensics would show whether the deceased was on his feet or lying on the ground.

MA could care less about forensics.....a civilian used a firearm to defend himself and in MA you are guilty.

On a scale of 1 to 10 how interested in forensics were the police in the Karen Read case.....
I think that the Karen Read case is not typical, even of MA. With an indoor crime scene, the blood spatter evidence is likely convincing.

Northampton used to have the Northampton State Hospital. It has been closed for 40 years, but I still wonder if this has had an impact on the local population.
Old Main was creepy as hell back in the mid 2000s before they demolished it. Doesn't help to be in there at 2am. Stupid things we did as kids.

Assuming when he went back in the guy got up or something to that effect to become a threat again, would him leaving the threat and then re-approaching the threat a number of minutes later be able to be twisted into him being the aggressor at that point?

I can't begin to know what that is like, and it sounds like this guy is screwed legally and will probably cop a plea.
First discussion I had with my wife about using the bedside pistol when I'm out of town...keep shooting until the gun goes click. She asked why...I said well it will be a mess if there's someone dead on the living floor but there will only be ONE story...yours and eventually things will calm down. If person on the living floor is not dead...there will be TWO stories....and good bet his aint gonna match yours

That’s a pretty incriminating thing to post in public.

Stop the threat.

You’d be wise to take Massad Ayoobs class and Andrew Brancas class.
No duty to retreat in RI or exhaust other means of exit or self-defense

Import bit is here in

State v Fetzik

"This court has recognized that the General Assembly has by virtue of 11-8-8 created a presumption in favor of one who defends his home against a person who feloniously enters in the event that the intruder sustains a personal injury or dies."

Oh it absolutely did! When I was in my teens/early 20s my father would tell me stories of all the mentally ill people he would encounter in Northampton in his youth. Somewhat the same for me, albeit to a lesser extent. The town certainly attracts people with mental health issues, that’s for sure. Lots homeless, lots of drug issues (they go hand in hand), and I don’t mean your typical “liberal looney” nonsense either.

After reading the article, if true, no winners here. Only two retarded losers. Letendre deserves to be dead for breaking in at 1am in the morning and getting into mortal combat with the armed homeowner, a parent and a licensed gun owner. Camp deserves to be locked up for being criminally retarded. This story is as ridiculous as it gets. I can just picture the two retards locked in mortal battle. The reenactment could be narrated by David Attenborough.

Many (most?) homeless are dual diagnosis— mentally ill and addicted to drugs and/or alcohol.

Am I seeing in the news that this trial resulted in his acquittal
