I'll repost a story I've shared before. Had a friend who was a lawyer and carried a 1911 under his suit jacket. Someone must've noticed it somehow and called in "a man with a gun". Boston's finest responded with guns drawn. He was disarmed, his pistol was unloaded. Cops gave him a bunch of crap but, being a lawyer, he talked his way out of it. He told me that had he been carrying a Glock with pre-bans, he probably would've been arrested - he would've gotten out of it, since pre-bans were perfectly legal to carry back then, but he said it would've taken time and effort.

The correct answer is one. If you need more than one extra magazine you better get the f*ck out of where you’re at or if you think you need more for where you’re going…..don’t.

Totally agree in a perfect world. Obviously avoiding bad areas, circumstances or situations but sometimes trouble finds you. I saw a YouTube video on this once that made sense you only have what you take into a battle. The take away was always have more than you THINK you need because that's all you are going to have to save your life.

A little off topic. Kind of playing with some thoughts this morning.
It's clear mag bans are useless BS, and may be unconstitutional under 2A.
But taking it from another angle;
We have a right to our property and it's lawful use.
Its safe to say that standard cap mags are owned to be used in any situation, not just locked away unloaded at home, and only occasionally taken out for competition. The mags aren't just firearms, under 2A, they are physical property with a specific intended use.
Denying someone use of their property is a "taking" under the 5A

This makes it a 5A case not a 2A case. Why is this good? Because 2A is a hot topic Judges don't want to touch.
There are Judges in MA sympathetic to overly oppressive nature of the laws and those in the legislature, the resent rulings on possession by non-residents shows this. We need to provide them a path to shoot down the mag capacity laws that will be easier for them (because it sucks but even judges are political). Property rights is something the non-gun community can accept.

As for standing, anyone who has standard cap mags and can legally carry in MA. That's all MA LTC holders, and now thanks to the new laws, anyone who own a standard cap mag and travels through MA (since non-res can now carry in their vehicle sans license). So even an escapee from the PRMA like myself can participate.
