Why didn't she just hand it over to him when he was there face-to-face and save a stamp ????
My town does not mail them out and insists that you pick it in person up at the police station.

My town also has personal pickup at the police station. Just a little more secure way to be sure the license and pin gets into the proper hands.

Mine not only requires in-person pickup (though they did hand me my kid's FID), they require a photo ID.

I asked the clerk, "Isn't my picture on the new license enough?"

No, it wasn't. I showed them my FID (I was picking up my LTC renewal)
