This. So much of this. Most of us - we have seen this before and we know how it goes. And we -know- this will pass and it will be as ugly as they want it to be. And we know what their castle in the sky/ end game is- no guns. So whatever the new bill will be one thing is for certain- they will stuff it with everything they can think of towards that goal.

One more thing to consider- During the the 2016 "bill" they gave us pretty much 24 hours during which we bought more guns than the whole previous year (or something like that). They will not make the same mistake. I am suspicious they will arrange the voting and signing the bill into law in such a way as to minimize the time between we know about it and becoming a law. So we might not have the luxury (or financial capability) to pick up what we want during the final mad rush. Not to mention pricing which undoubtedly would be much higher and current inventory will be much lower.

So... musing the above- I am currently in a buying mode and slowly buying the few missing pieces I always wanted on -my- terms instead of on -their- terms.

Knowing what we know what I wrote is a nobrainer. Do not look for excuses and instead seize the initiative and go act preemptively. Like- now and in the next month or two...
The last AK47/74 I bought i obtained off AR15.com from a private seller. Was shipped to GFA in Natick on 7/15/2016. On 7/16 Greg from GFA called me and said you better get down here now based on the AG BS that just got pushed. It was busy in that store that day. That window was 24 hours and was the last time I bought a AK style rifle. so I know from past history.

right, and because so many LGSs post 2016 are "LEO ONLY" we now (potentially) have 24 hours to get trained, certified and documented as LEO before we can buy

So I’m thinking of what to buy and I can’t think of one thing I need or even want except a Shadow 2 compact.

If you’re a betting man, expect an AWB to be signed into law Friday night.

I say this because I may or may not have bought something at the Mill Sunday and got my usual delay - which means they can transfer it to me Saturday.
Grendizer…..my contrarian indicator.

Agreed and I have. Over last 2 months I've grabbed another glock 19mos, Sig Rattler LT
11.5 and a B&T APC9 pro. I've already been in discussion with my friendly FFL about an Sig LT Rattler and a B&T APC223. Just need to let the credit card cool off a little before I throw another 6k on it.
Did you go with the apc that takes Glock mags? How do you like it?

We already know there is zero grandfathering in the house bill and fake grandfathering in the senate bill.

Therefore anything you want in the near future grab now or wait 2 years for the litigation to percolate through the circuit courts.
And it's likely BBR in the interim with no actual grandfathering in place for most semiautomatic rifles

Why wait?

You know it is passing, it is only a quesrion of when. You know they will make it as hard of possible.

So, why wait?

Get what you want today. Not last minute rushing with the crowd.
Yup. Bought something last Sat.

And I’m awaiting another purchase (to come in).

Might do one more just because I can this coming sat…

So doing my part to get one per month.

Love Greg and GFA Arms Tech!

My apc9k came with the glock mag lower.
Liked it but got the recently released aluminum lower that takes the b&t mags. The apc9 pro I just got takes standard B&T mags.

Magblock.com sells the 10/30 piece. Im actually in my woods shooting it now. Epoxies baseplate rendered it permanently. I'm going to get them cerakoted black to hide the insert . KCI makes steel reinforced B&T mags which are $20 on gunmagwarehouse.com. have a connection to get them shipped into MA.

It's gay but whatever. Both guns are 100% ma compliant (as currently defined) Screenshot_20240227_125832_Gallery.jpg

Put a Taylor freelance Goliath +20 extension on a g17 preban. Holds 37 rounds. They also make a +30 but it’s too long and unwieldy.

I just want to say to the rest of the NES membership that I have heard that while many people believe it to be true, I know that it is only on reasonably shakey authority that not only did Massachusetts Representative Michael S. Day smoke crack the day he was elected, but Massachusetts Representative Michael Day was caught with an underage male prostitute in 2004. Now, if anyone has any evidence to the contrary that Massachusetts Representative Michael Day smoked crack the day of his election, or that Massachusetts Representative Michael Day was caught with an underage male prostitute in 2004, they should definitely make it clear that it is in fact not the case that Massachusetts Representative Michael Day smoked crack the day he was elected, or that Massachusetts Representative Michael Day was caught with an underage male prostitute in 2004.

Because after all, Google search results matter. If Massachusetts Representative Michael Day was caught with an underage male prostitute in 2004, or if Massachusetts Representative Michael Day smoked crack the day he was elected, we'd all want to be well informed about the truth.
That is the type of stuff that will give Day democratic street cred.
