Let me google that for you:

"The MCOPA is comprised of nearly 500 municipal and campus law enforcement executives and commanders in Massachusetts."

There are only 351 municipalities in Mass. clearly you can see that "nearly 500" is quite a lot more than 351

So, I'm pretty damn sure it covers all, or nearly all, the chiefs in Mass.
So... You quoted what I referenced to be a smartass. Cute. Except you suck at it.

So go back and read it again. Hold on, let me reading comprehension for you.

The MCOPA is an association, comprised of nearly 400 municipal and campus law enforcement executives.

So their own website is in disagreement. Oh, and theres an "and". Wonder what that means? I wonder how many LE Executives there are in MA. Especially in larger departments.

No. No they aren't. The State Police are "The State". May be the case out east, but not here in Western MA. Yes, there are enclaves - Amherst PD comes to mind. But I don't even know who is part of MCOPA.
Every officer is an agent of the state, be it local, county, state or federal.

Notice we are not pushing clubs to eject individual cops from their membership that would be corporate punishment of individuals.

Then you are blaming the officers for the people 4 or 5 steps up run from them.
Yes. The police are not your friends.

I still think that is punishing people for choices they don't get to make. I'm for doing this to any Chief that supports the decision the president of MCOPA, and to a lesser extent, not welcoming them to make use of training ranges in an official capacity.
This is literally an identical argument to "Nazi soldiers were just following orders."

without amendment all your semi-auto rifles are likely now illegal assault weapons and you are a multiple felon. I posted very early on in this thread my prediction that they would grandfather us. The only question is how and what exact language. We all await to see what bill reaches the floor for final vote after amendments.

Here's a thought: Let them pass the law as is and turn tens of thousands of gun owners into felons overnight. Then watch how many fed-up/pushed to the edge gun owners decide enough is enough and go Rambo on the Marxists and their Gestapo enforcers. Dude in PA is just the start of this. Falling down was supposed to be a warning and these mother f***ers ignored it, coming soon as an instruction manual. I almost believe this is what "they" want.

Edgy.....

Edgy.....
Yeah, the only problem is that they are just waiting for a few folks like we have on this thread, to do something "crazy", and it will play right into their hands of painting us as loonies and gun nuts, and a threat to public safety when in reality we are the bastions of public safety, but they are looking for an excuse to erase that argument by the actions of a few.

That's exactly what they want and you're gonna walk into it

I'll roll the dice on the guys who could have arrested me for whatever doing 70 in a 35 would entail and instead told me they wanted me to slow down because they didn't want to see me get hurt or in an accident. I only have my personal interactions to go off of. If any of them asked me for something I'd do it in a heartbeat.

When every single one of them are breaking down doors and sending people off to extermination camps, I'll agree with you.

So let's ask this question.

How many of those 351 police departments will enforce this BS? And of those that do how many of the officers will refuse?
Answer: All and none.
Therefore there are acting in concert with one mind and should be treated as the disease attacking our rights that they are.

Difference is that by doing 70 in a 35 you are undoubtedly putting an innocent third person's life or property at a real risk.

My guns are no more of a risk to innocent third parties than my car parked in my driveway is (well my car is electric so it likely poses a higher risk)

That's exactly what they want and you're gonna walk into it

I'm not walking into anything. I can buy a place tomorrow in NH or points South and say bye to MA and it's Marxist insanity if this bill becomes a problem for me. I'm no internet commando or Meal Team 6 member begging to get Jan 6ed. The first foot soldiers into the breach always suffer the worst casualties... don't be first into the breech.

That would be our asshat politicians, and the dipshit president of MCOPA.

Not my local townie's who speak loudly and plainly the state needs to start reading Bruen and stop listening to Moms Demand Action.

Next thing I'm gonna hear you guys singing is "ACAB" and "Defund the Police". Because they are all the same, right?

Do you really think "getting away with 70 in a 35" is a reasonable parallel?

No, just don't put my local town guys who are good people and actually help people in the same category as the idiots out east. Doubly so because they are ardent 2A supporters.

Actually, yes. If they wanted to be gun grabbers all they had to do was prosecute. My FID would have been stripped and I would have been a PP for the rest of my life.

IDK do you pay taxes and send you kids to public school? Or did you pay for your own edumacation? Remember, everything that is tax payer funded is a form of socialism. Roads, infrastructure, schools, the military, etc. You aren't a communist now then, are you, bumpkin..?

I ask a question and to my suprise a third party jumps in answers the question with a question. Its no wonder that this country is such a mess there sweet pea.

... until you've accidentally broken some stupid law and they have to arrest you because their job is more important to them than your life.

Go look at the "police protecting and serving" thread.

Has your town's CoP spoken out against any of this? How about any of the individual cops? No? They're not "ardent 2A supporters"

At the morning coffee meet and greet at the local cumby's? Sure, I'll ask them. Not sure what kind of support they can lend from a 6300 person town with one stoplight in it. I think at least one of them uses Instagram.

Careful, if you thank them for supporting the 2A you lick boots apparently.

I'm not worried about that happening. If they publicly supported 2A nobody would call those on here supporting them for doing so a bootlicker. People get called bootlickers for blindly defending the profession in the face of evidence of them not supporting us.
