A quick word of thanks for you guys who have the stomach to watch and listen to this bullshit. I'd have gone through multiple monitors by this point.
on & off... it is too much bullshit to take in one sitting of the "Queen's men"

sad sad day FFS

Open process....I don't remember the public hearing

Like it was going to help. I mean, I appreciate putting the major brakes on this whole thing but it was destined to pass. They could put in there to execute every gun owner in the state, no exceptions for LEO and they'd have passed it.

The only hope is that we get the injunction and then the Illinois case is decided in the meantime making this either valid or not. That's all we've ever had.

What is shocking is this: We are trying to protect people. Exactly what Democrats said in the 50's when separate-but-equal was struck down by the courts. Back then it was all the black boys were gonna F your white girls. Now it's the crazed gun owners are gonna kill all your white girls.

He didn't say it but that's verbatim from his rep on the phone.
Was told to put in a detailed letter to be placed into the record.
When I stated that with a vote scheduled a week after release how are we supposed to actually compose a detailed opposition letter on a 30+ page bill without any public notice or hearing.
Complete BS, they are very likely going to push this through along with some of the more egregious amendments on voice votes so there is little or no record
Yes complete BS
After hearing Rep. Steven Xiarhos speak last night at our club in Bourne, I conclude we are ALL Fk'd

The only chance we have is once we find out who the hand picked 6 people assigned to the committee to combined the House bill and Senate bill, is to absolutely hammer them with emails, phone calls , letters and in person visits bringing up all the bad this bill is and how wrong the whole process is. I mean EVERYONE.
These freaks just don't care
We have to fight back before it's too late, I am NOT a Communist

The fix is in - we don't want a watered down anything to come out of committee.
The more blatantly egregious it is the more likely an injunction is to come down on it.
Even the 1st knows SCOTUS' patience must be wearing thing with all of the Bruen temper tantrums.

Just a committe for now and Goal is on it. So Goal can try and educate the grabbers about the challenges.
You and I both know soon is almost a guarantee. I hope it is not the case and the time spent for “education” will change their minds. It would be an absolutely onerous and burdensome task to do so.

So I’m still waiting for the state to send me my LTC card. Will this mean I can’t even get a ruger pc carbine?? Would that qualify as an Assault rifle under the legislation? Even if I was able to get it, would it not be able to be grandfathered in?

I think I'm a little slow on the pickup on this one. But with all the talk about Glock switches on that bill today, I just realized why they hate Glocks. I suspect all along there have been some who didn't care about a loaded chamber indicator, safety selector, etcetera, but were actually afraid of them because of the idea that people are making them full auto just by swapping out some parts. It's like the ATF and open bolt semi-autos.

Maybe I'm wrong, but that was the impression I got.

They don't understand enough about any of this to have that as their reasoning. They've hated glocks forever because to them it's almost a generic term for scary black semi handgun.

Just realize that Glock switches are already illegal under Federal law. But it's not enforced for the average person with a Glock switch. This makes it so that it can be prosecuted at a state level. I'm pretty sure that anyone who is already NOT afraid of the consequences of getting picked up federally for a "machine gun," will not care about a state charge as well. But hey, as long as Jamie Eldridge can have another pint of ice cream tonight, it's good.

This right here. None of the elected officials pushing this bill through wrote a single word of it or have any knowledge of firearms other than what their wives’ boyfriends tell them during hot yoga classes. They cut and pasted the entire bill from whatever national group drafted it for them. If the super majority takes any recesses to discuss amendments, it’s to get the national group on the phone to tell them what to do. If the senate is pushing their own version, it’s just because they have more clout to take it from the lowly reps and take credit for “landmark legislation.”
