Creem: "Massachusetts already has a strong assault weapons ban. .. The Senate bill codifies the Attorney General's 2016.."

"Many of us learned about the Mill in Littleton that had 80 gun dealers..."

She is straight up saying part of the purpose of the bill is to reduce firearms industry in the state. Holy quiet part out loud.
"I'm confident that they are consistent with the provisions of the Bruen decision."

They hate us.
They have always hated us.
They will always hate us.

The first line of the senate bill describes it as an amendment to the house bill, replacing every word of it with the new text.

That would codify the AG's exemptions in the FAQ. So nothing in 22lr, or smaller, could ever be an AW. Same of her listed exemptions at the end.
Your conclusion is incorrect. They can be assault weapons based on features. They are not based on being copies or duplicates. The words are important. Lots of dealers followed Healey and started handing out 22s without compliance work. That is a failure.
