MA Liberals on Reddit Need Firearms and 2A To Defend Against Mean Tweets

It’s a direct vote in 2026. They don’t have to vote against their beliefs. They just have to vote for their gun rights.

It will hinge on how the 2A community welcomes them. The attitude needs to change. Get them to come around on this one issue.
In a perfect world, maybe. But in this modern political climate, they aren’t going to want to be welcomed by anyone on the right. A few may be open to owning rifles like the AR platform, but I guarantee the majority will think along the lines of FUDDS. If that happens, it may be an even worse situation. Nothing gives the anti gun crowd more credibility for what they do in the eyes of average voter than gun owners siding with them. The average voter will see that and think “well if gun owners are siding with them, it must be a good thing” and not look further into it.

The operative descriptive word here is "leftist".

Unless you can change that all you have is a gun owner who will oppose you on other grounds as much as they can.
Who cares? The entire idea is to come together on a single issue and redress our grievances, right? You know why I don't bother showing up for gun related stuff in Massachusetts? It's because there's always going to be a retarded conservative walking around holding up a sign with a picture of an abortion on it which has nothing to do with gun rights.

I can tell you right now, I've talked to many left wing people who want to jump on the train but stop short because the right has a purity test as well and it focuses on religion and it's a big turn off for many people. It's one of the reason why I left the right and at this point can never go back. I would rather burn my bridges with the GOP than ever vote for them again. If there's one person like, there's more of me. Probably enough to sway elections, but the GOP is too stupid to figure this out.

You have to separate in your mind leftists from democrats because they're not the same people. The anti-gun crowd is the democrats and the real left hates democrats.

During that same time, I was working in MA. At my workplace, there were (surprisingly) many “gun guys”. I was however, the only BFS Instructor and I had several co-workers come up to me and ask how they could procure a firearm. Many thought I was the issuing authority. I explained the process and told them that many PD’s weren’t even accepting LTC/FID applications at that time, adding that by the time their LTC was issued, the current crisis would most likely be over. They stared at me in disbelief. They then stated that scenario was unacceptable and they wanted to know how to navigate the “gun show loophole”. I replied, “Nah bruh…that ain’t a real thing.” You could see their mental gears grinding to a halt as they struggled to reconcile their belief system with reality. 😄
i had similar conversation only once, and it is just one more proof of how efficient local propaganda machine is, and how owners of news stations distorted reality to their favor.
what it is they think they achieved with all this is yet to be seen, but people indeed have no idea of how most of this works.
just a same proverbial exmaple of the frog that actually got boiled to the death in the hot milk. too late to get amused now, of what the real life is.

I don't know about anyone else but I saw the absolute displays of stupidity during covid when liberals were running into gun stores thinking that guns were easier to buy than toothpaste. I can still remember like it was yesterday being in the shop at Pioneer Valley Arms to pick up a Ruger revolver I had on order and there was at least 4 or 5 people in the store who honestly felt like they could buy a gun and bring it home that day. That's the way it should be, but, they were too stupid to realize they voted their civil rights away. At least I went home with a gun that day and they got a loser sandwich.
That demonstrates how effective the propaganda machine is at misleading the public towards the left or towards the left.

To reasonable people, yes.

To the "progressives" (or whatever else you want to call them), only enough and as far as it advances their beliefs and their agendas. They are in the same political bucket as communists and other "ists". What they say is one thing; what they do is something else and always in orer to advance their objectives.
