Looking for a single stack Micro 9 for the gf..
365, g43, PPS M2, others?

I am a Glock fan, and also really liked the original PPS.. no experience with the 365 or others.
She generally steals my seecamp.. time for her to have her own..

She’d rally like a Tiffany blue or pink…. But, that could always be ceracoated later..

Suggestions?

I like the G43x with an optic. Kinda opened the envelope of usability for micro guns for me.

Lots of practice though to be accurate. Not really a beginner's gun.

Shadow Systems CR920 or G43.

Glock 43 or DB9. I’m thinking she has no issues with recoil

Holy crap.. never heard of a db9.. if Glock and a high point hooked up… might be good. But wow. Double bagger butt ugly.
It’s for a woman… it does not pass the “it’s cute” test..

Seecamp may be anemic… but passes the “cute” test.. she liked to shoot my G26, PPS got a “meh”… so that may make the 43 the easiest sell.

I got my wife into an sig 365 and she got rite into it after she figured out the trigger reset. She doesn’t really have the passion for firearms and it is her first pistol.

Ya. That is part of the problem… it will probably get shot once… then carried.. in a purse, with all sorts of crap. So, has to be 100% reliable, purse proof… and “cute” enough. I know sigs are great. I just never found one that “fit “me.

Does she practice often? Out of all my 9MM my Wife doest shoot a lot but we’ve been trying to get out together once a week lately

Anyway she is most accurate and comfortable with the Beretta 92 compact. Probably not the ideal purse gun but it’s in her beside safes
She really doesn’t like my original G43 and thinks it’s too “snappy” but she can hit paper at 15 yds.
I don’t have any other micro 9s

I do have a sig 2022 she likes
She hates the Taurus 3G I got from the giveaway here lol

She does really good with a full-size 1911… shoulder carry? Haha

I think with practice the G43 is a great gun I absolutely love it

She handled a good majority of micro 9’s on the roster and my G43 before barely deciding on the 365. For her it was how it felt in the hand above the others. And I wouldnt let her get a 380 or a gootch gun

purse carry is a really really really really bad idea

how about a scandium .38 in a belly band?

with a couple thousand rounds of practice ofc since j frames are retardedly difficult to master

Purse is the ONLY realistic option… the “does this Glock make me look fat” is a major factor. And not going to happen.
She shot my M&P 340…. Once… said, “you’re an a**h***” . Will never touch it again.. and let’s face it.. that just sucks all around.

A 640 in .38 with speer short barrel loads. less muzzle flash and less recoil.

ill say it again, a small gun is a really bad idea for a novice. almost as bad as no gun at all.

Let her try a bunch and decide on her own.

I have a TON of guns. She has shot most. She likes the G26. But that is just too big. She loves my 1911s. But again. Too big too heavy. M&p 340… right size. Shot once, will Never touch it again. . S&W hump back, too heavy. Sig 238. just not a fit. So, my seecamp is the one, she’d take. But it is just not enough.

for anyone who'se reading this that is NOT learning impaired

the odds of getting a weapon out of a backpack or purse during a fight are literally 0

for the love of god go take some mma classes before you ever carry a weapon

Oh ya.. a 50+ something woman is going to “muscle” and potato chip flip! A potential attacker.. and then choke hold that bad guy into submission.

However, a street smart very aware 50+ woman. With her hand in her purse that can shoot pretty frikken well? Better odds.

Not ALL of us are 19 yr old former seals with Brazilian ju-jitsu Krav maga ninja-fu. That are able to shoot 1k rounds per week doing speznatz tactical rolls.

At some point. It becomes a question of realistic options and trade offs.

She has shot enough.. but not regularly as of late. It just does not appeal to her any more.. A dedicated “carry purse” is realistic. But the actual gun will determine the specific model.

Sig P938. It's 'totes adorbs' as the kids would say.

Hammer back safety on 1911 in a purse carry situation. Seems too complicated.
I would feel better with no safety point and shoot.

It would be viable. But I just don’t see her practicing enough to make it viable.

I’d get a bigger girl so she can conceal a 1911 like a boss
Last thing I want to deal with is being single again.. then having to break in, train and also, “right size” a girl that can boob or thigh carry a full size 1911.. some of those potential pictures.. are enticing or horrifying..
