Another life tragically lost to gun violence:

We need Common-Sense Booger Hook Control.

"Police in Kensington [N.H.] got a call from a hospital on Wednesday that a man was admitted to the emergency room with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Police went to the hospital and spoke to the man, who said he was cleaning a rifle and put it on a workbench when it fell to the floor and discharged a round, injuring him. Police concluded it was an accidental shooting." Accidental shooting leads police to home with over 70 cats

Lisa Dennison, executive director of the SPCA in Stratham, said ... the cats, who range in age from kittens to adults, are scared but friendly.

Yet neither the police nor the SPCA have let the cats anywhere near their service weapons.

She reportedly repeated to officers that she had been “playing” with the gun when it accidentally discharged.

“When the officer asked her what she meant by ‘playing,’ she stated that she was aiming the firearm at her husband while he was sleeping,” the affidavit reportedly states. She also reportedly said she “pulled the trigger believing the gun was unloaded.”

I think even Alex Baldwin would call BS on this one^

Sounds like the gun was under the toddler's direct control,
so at least it's not a bad transportation rap.[shocked]

well the article said shot twice so I figured no magic bullet
It all depends on what the meaning of shot is.

Was the person behind the camerawoman who got Baldwinned shot or not, because he got the shoot through.

Life is not like USPSA scoring where a hold behind a target designated as hard cover is declared to not exist.

I think that's a bit of a reach, but whatever.
