I'm not sure it's the sear because I don't fully understand how the damned thing works. It's nuts.

The reference to Russia was that this was in fact the original "sturm" rifle. In WWI Russians had squads armed with these. The famous factory in Kovrov was built for sole purpose to make these.

Mirror for teaching proper, rifle sight alignment. The instructor can see the alignment from a position normal to the shooter and correct the shooter if needed. Not sure which rifle though. Probably M1 Carbine.
