My latest MilSurp:

1916 Mauser Geweher M1898/14 8mm-S (.323), Simson & Co, a private contract manufacturer and probably the rarest of all 11 Gew98 producers. Serial number 1246e matches on all stock and metal parts except hand guard (1347), bolt body, trigger, and sear (53), bolt shroud, cocking piece, and firing pin (21), safety (57), floor plate (26), and trigger guard (7481); however they all have Imperial proofs. Saxon marked solid one piece walnut stock had been lightly sanded at some point, leaving faint cartouches and serial number. I have stripped it of varnish and applied two coats of cut Tung oil and wax. “WB” engraved on left butt stock and “W” or “M” under fore stock. Reproduction sling of vintage leather, original unmarked cleaning rod, original brass muzzle cover. Barrel bright and sharp, no pitting, VG. Not import marked.

I finally paid off and picked up my first 1911. It looks like a mutt, but it's got thoroughbred blood.

It's an original Ithica slide with case hardening on an Essex frame. The bluing on the frame has faded, but I think the 'plum' color gives it character. It's got a national match bushing and probably more work done to it than I paid for it.

I picked up this Para Warthog last month, but got the Hogue Grips today and also ordered a Don Hume H721 O.T. holster

Also had a chance to shoot it for the first time today, I am very impressed with this gun and absolutely love it. No FTF's, jams, or issues whatsoever.

Since the title says new aquisitions and not new firearms I'm posting my new bow. I picked up a new Mathews Z7 Extreme last night. I will be heading to the range later today to play with it and sight it in. I have been saying for years I was buying a new bow. I was looking for more speed. This should have it. My old bow was probably under 200 FPS. This one is at 280FPS. Being short it will still be a few years of technology before I'll see 300 FPS.

where did you get the mosin 91/30 and do they have any left

I bought it out of state using my C&R. Most shops that I've gone into in MA have at least a couple Mosins, I should think you can find one just about anywhere (prices of course will vary).
