New Acquisitions for July 2024

CZ Shadow 2 Compact + Holosun EPS

View attachment 902924

Swapped the hammer spring to lighten the DA. Ran Federal 150gr Syntech, Belom 124gr, Federal Syntech 115gr without a problem. Will polish the frame a bit, swap grips, maybe tune the recoil spring, maybe install a short reach reduction kit.

If you do the trigger return spring, 11 # hammer spring and put in the extended firing pin (and spring) you will have incredibly improved the da/sa pull. And upgrade the actual trigger

That’s the cheapest and best bang for the money upgrades.

Trust me. I’ve modified many CZ’s and the above is what i did to my shadow 2c

I have all the parts to hit the next level. Just no need at the moment and way more involved, just lazy

Thanks. I have the Cajun kit for the bigger brother.

The compact, though, I'd like to carry so I'm a bit reluctant going all out with the extended firing pin, etc. I don't really know the factory spring weight but I have the hammer spring a bit heavier than yours at 13# for the DA. I do need to tool around with it to figure out my comfort level.

With the 11# hammer spring, what do you have your recoil spring set for?

Stock recoil spring. That is a function of the round power/weight. No need to swap it with off the shelf ammo.

If you are trying to make powder puff reloads, then it matters

The extended firing pin/spring is a bad idea for carry, as it (the shadows) does not have a firing pin block.

It’s mostly an advantage if you go to an 11# hammer spring to insure it will light off a primer.

The 13# should be fine to light off most primers

The 2 lb difference is noticeable for a competition gun.

Tavor 7, because why the f*ck not.

As it's supposed to be, swapped to lefty(except for the charging handle, the f*cker is in there tight).

Edit: Add a Meprolight Mepro M21, 10 Magpul 10 rounders, and a Magpul MS1 QDM sling to the list.
