Picked this up used on Feb 29th, but didn't take any pics until a few minutes ago. I don't know anything, really, about revolvers. I think this is a 'K' frame? Not really sure... if anybody knows anything more about this pistol please feel free to tell me about it.

Atta boy!

See, I told you you needed a revolver! [wink]

Let us know how it shoots!

It shoots well. I've been doing that trick you taught me.

Good to hear bro! Get yourself some light .38 special target loads and shoot the crap outta that thing. Great gun to skill build with and not too expensive to shoot as well. Let me know when you want to hit MRA again!

um... trick? please share for the rest of us revolver newbies! [grin]

He was trying to teach me to take steady, even trigger pulls. By leaving one chamber empty and spinning the cylinder closed, I never know which shot is going to fall on an empty chamber. That way, I can observe whether or not I'm jerking the gun when I fire.

Similar to Russian Roulette ............ different end result. [shocked]

This of course was done safely with the muzzle pointed downrange at all times... [smile]

Also, don't forget the "push-pull" concept as well. I always seem to shoot better when I refocus on that portion of my grip.

That's a good idea... going to have to try that. [grin]

A similar experiment you can do with a .357 Mag revolver is to have a friend load it with a mix of light .38s, heavy .357s, and snap caps. The trick is to have someone else load it and hand it to you so you don't know what to expect.

This should help identifying flinching, and work towards lessening one's tendency to flinch.

THe light is an insight technology M-3. THe gun seems to balance fine for me. I also got a Biainchi Vision holster, this holster allows you to holster the gun with the light on it. I got the model for the Vertec, but it works fine with the M-9 A1

Well, today is my birthday and this is my present to me. A S&W 649-3 Bodyguard with no lock. It has a great trigger job and a ported barrel. I immediately took off the full size grips and put on a pair of Uncle Mike's boots. If this works out as well as I expect I will invest in some nice custom grips.

The trigger pull on this baby is really sweeeeet! I know a lot of guys do not like ported barrels, but I do. I can't wait to get to the range with it. Thanks JollyRoger!

I gave that piece a hard look myself. It is sweet. A set of crimson trace lasergrips on that baby would nicely complete the package. Good luck with it.
-Cuz.

@TBP
First is a Navy 04, DWM of 1917; 2nd is a DWM 1917 "Lange Pistole 08"
a.k.a. Artillery; 3rd is a Mauser C96 Cone Hammer.
