Thanks to both of you, I love the look of that. While I'm here I might as well add my recent acquisition for October- passed the Technician Ham exam this morning. Looking to get my General License as soon as I can find the time to study for it.

picked up an M53 Mosin yesterday, nice shooter, the trigger on these things is so much nicer than the 91/30's.

I finished the pistol grip conversion on the Saiga 410 that I picked up earlier this month , next on the to do list is a bolt on lower handguard retainer, a Tapco galil handguard, bolt on front sight post, and an ak74 style brake

I also put a down payment on a good looking Finnish m91 today at my local gun store. If I had the cash on me I would of taken home today but I only had $20.00 on me and the plastic was at home. Hopefully I will have an early day this week so I can pick it up before the weekend. I am thinking that I got a smoking deal he had it listed for $150

I picked up a Chinese SKS this afternoon. I'd post a picture, but I got carried away and it's disassembled and soaking in mineral spirits. If I get off my duff I'll get a fire going in the fireplace and see if I can sweat some of the cosmo out of the furniture as well.

Also in October I picked up a mostly complete lower that I'm slowly completing. I'm still torn between just buying a complete upper and piecing it together myself. It'll be my first AR (unless I win MassMark's raffle), so I'm torn between learning the hard way and just gettin' 'er done.

Picked up a kel tec sub2k last thursday after work. It's finished in hard chrome, and the first one like it that i've seen in person.

SKS Ray helped me this past Saturday on my Saiga Conversion (7.62)

I got a Chinese Type 53, the bore looks great, finish on the metal is a little worn, and the wood is rough. I just need to finish cleaning the cosmoline off the stock. I would take pictures, but, no camera.

My "neither rain nor sleet nor storm of night" man delivered a Steve Bedair stainless Sig guiderod today.

(Yeah--A guiderod. You want photographs? Hey, since Adam's Solothurn post, I don't even try anymore...)

EDIT: Yes, it added a little weight, but what's really nice is now it sounds like a gun when the slide is racked.

Just finished doing the stippling on my M&P Shield. Got the Apex trigger kit coming this week. I think its gonna be my favorite carry.

The nose of my new M17 Eddystone's stock came off on Saturday's range trip; turned out to have been glued on by a previous owner. Spent the weekend improvising a repair by drilling and inserting a 3/16 threaded stainless steel rod, and drilling and inletting a brass staple using Gorilla epoxy and super glue in the repairs. Came out well; will test again next weekend.
