@VTski4x4 the other way I look at it... the whole reason you buy an NH, DW, ed brown, etc is because you can shoot the piss out of these kinds of 1911s and they don't wear quickly. It'd be difficult to discern 2000 rounds from 50k on one of those guns outside of maybe holster wear. Shooting it? It's not going to care.
I shoot the crap out of my DW. Saving the NH for a special occasion. If an unbuilt $200 Noveske lower is worth 4k, my NH should be worth 100k soon enough

I hear ya. I got a good bonus several years ago and I had Greg Derr build me a custom 1911 I used for USPSA type shoots. The gun is awesome and still looks as good as when I got it.

I’m pretty sure Derr could make a soup can fire like an elite level pistol, so yes, I think he could. I half want to reach out to him for trigger work on my GCNM but also want to see if I do get a Razorback to determine which I think needs it more.
