Wish I liked the Commander size, looks so strange to me. But yeah I'd want a matching set for sure.
Ben, Remington sucks, why would they make a 4"? This is the company that charges $900 for a gun that "competes" with the SR1911. LOL
I'm talking about the Enhanced R1. And yeah I CC a XDs, so what? You're the one looking for a G30s/SF
Finally got proper bushings and screws for my new ETC grips from VZ Grips.
For anyone who hasn't done this before, removing bushings can be a frustrating experience!
just need a big flathead screwdriver.
i've replaced mine with hex drive bushings
Started with a flathead, which promptly tore up the soft metal of the bushings. They seem to have some kind of brownish red loctite on them from the Ruger factory.
I was finally successful with a little luck and a lot of determination (and vise grips). I did read on 1911forum.com that a heat gun might have made my life easier, too, but I hope never to have need to do that again!bad news, red locktite is the permenant one.
probably going to have to drill them out and re-tap the holes
Still looks awesome here!!I guess I'll join the fun (although technically a dupe from the New Acquisitions thread).
Wrong thread.Here's my S&W 1911PD
