I wish you were wrong...but... probably not. I agree it's highly unlikely to get to criminal court. Maybe, just maybe, it might find it's way into civil court somehow. Either way I suspect it's going to require a high profile, rights-oriented legal group to take the case on pro-bono ... yea, I'm not holding my breath either.

The video is inconclusive, IMO. The stolen gun and FBI failure to report will be more telling than a drone video with no audio.

Everything the govt did to the Hammond family was wrong. This shooting was likely unjustified, but it does appear that he drops his hands (not necessarily towards his pocket) before he's shot, but it's tough to tell.

There's enough gray area for the .gov to justify this to the masses unless we get more or new info.

The stolen gun is sketchy, as is the FBI failing to report that they also fired.

We'll have to see where this goes. At least there is still media coverage regarding the inconsistencies in the FBIs story.

IMHO Stolen gun = Drop piece.
It's not a new trick by any stretch.
If the guy was going to carry, why not the piece he was always known to ?
The history of the "Recovered" piece might hold some answers.

As an old man I have watched how Americans have been killed for many years by law enforcement. They are trained to kill and they use past killings to train agents. They study each shoot and change what they need to in the practice. The killing of Lavoy will go down as a textbook perfect ambush and will be used as a training aid on how to lure out and kill people.

Ya they always demonize the ones they kill. Finicum was a 54 year old rancher that took in 11 kids that needed help and raised beef to feed people. There was no reason to murder him but they did because they can.

Seriously, did you guys even watch the video from inside the vehicle? It has audio. He gets shot before he reached down. You can hear the shots.

There are even split screen videos showing the vehicle video and drone video synced.

I don't know about the audio. From the video , it looks like a clean shoot. If the audio comes out with damning evidence I will tip my hat and bow out.

Contrary to what bones thinks, I am a skeptic when it comes to official stories. I do enjoy trolling the cop bashers sometimes however.

As to the stolen gun, I don't know why you would think it strange that a hardcore anti government type would have an off books gun. It makes way more sense to me than the theory that it was planted.

Make whatever crackpot theories you want, but he was reaching for the spot where he normally carried his sidearm. I don't buy the "he was grasping for the area he was shot" bullshit. He was debating with himself whether or not to pull his gun and he punked out at the moment of truth.

I think the first shots came as he was driving at the roadblock. Like it or not, that is considered lethal force and makes the shoot good. If he had complied with the cops he would be alive today.
