Brockton won't fair well in my town.
Ok corrected.I thought the Brockton fair was closed permanently.
I'm one of them and I can guarantee that I'll out conservative any of those New Hampshire long time residents who whine about people moving up here. The way they have been voting for the likes of shaheen and hassan they should be ashamed of themselves. Go and sell some more land to liberals and see where that gets you.Anecdotal, but the handful of people I know who are from NH are more liberal than the people I know who moved to NH from MA. Id be willing to bet more than half of the people moving from MA to NH are political refugees who are right of center or Libertarian.
To be frank,That's what I'm seeing as well. Then again, where I'm at, you're not moving here if you still want to work / play / visit Mass. The people born here tend to have kids that are running away as soon as they can, and seem to have a "there oughtta be a law" mentality. The people that moved here from somewhere else, 90% do not want to make it like where they left.
Example - we were discussing church security at a meeting, and one of our elders (a Navy and Army Reserve vet) said that "you know, people need to go through training and be authorized before they can carry in church, you can't just bring a gun in." I told him "your Army is showing" - inferring that he had that mentality of "don't give the troops a weapon or a hot plate unless they've sat through enough training classes to earn a doctorate". But maybe he's just a closeted liberal....
I was waiting for more of the story. I love how the victim is in the hospital.
the employee fled the store and has been missing ever since
Of course you do.Last month I was going out the door and my wife's clueless fried was there. She asked where are you going with that gun on your hip? Replied, Fairhaven to a UPS store for a Amazon return, the liquor store and Ocean State. Laughed and said you need a gun to go to all those places?
It can happen if the people who live in NH continue to think that it's ma**h***s that are turning the state blue. I'm sure you know that most people who move to NH move because they hate the politics here. We're moving, but not to NH for the same reason.
It's the schools and public libraries in every state that are working to poison the minds of children and turn them into Socialist robots. Go to school committee meetings and keep them honest. Get on the board of trustees of your public library and review every book they want to buy, especially for the children's section. You'll be shocked to see the Socialist tripe that passes for kids books.
Most of all, if you have kids reinforce conservative values and deprogram them from the indoctrination they're getting in school.
Wait, I thought the victim disappeared.
?????
Are the two in bold not the same person?
ive lived in the lakes region for close to 50 years. The Massachusetts transplants are welcome. Pro gun. Good folks. It’s the New York transplants that are toxic. Anti gun pieces of dirt. They were always here for a few weeks in the summer but during China Covid many moved here full time. They are absolutely disgusting excuses for humans.
Is this another case of them mixing up who is the victim, and who is the culprit? The "customer" stayed at the scene bleeding until the police showed up. The employee fled and was picked up sometime today.
The original victim and culprit swapped places when the first left and came back to shoot him.Is this another case of them mixing up who is the victim, and who is the culprit?
To be frank,
This isn't a "liberal" mindset. I woukd want to stack up with people who have little to no gun training or muzzle discipline.
I'd rather there be a little requirements to enter a true "church security" group.
But if a member wishes to carry outside of the group that leans on the insurance company for possible issues, than that person is rightfully able to carry. But not in the sense of "church security"
There needs to be plans, comms, rules of engagement, proper security mindset...
Not I drink to high he'll on Saturday and come to church hungover types.
The church is a business in this sense and needs to have proper everything if they have a true security team
Did you miss this comment? To be on "church security," maybe. To be able to carry in a church in the first place? F that, anyhow.
And TBH in any event, a 4 hour class once in a lifetime for the armchair commandos that can't wait to defend the church isn't much better than no training at all. We're not going to be creating 8 Bull Randleman's in a 4 hour class, and even if you did, without ongoing training, that skill is going to wither away.

This. The store employee is screwed. The news today was reporting that he was arguing with the customer, left to go to the break room to get the gun, came back, and then shot the customer when the knife came out.The original victim and culprit swapped places when the first left and came back to shoot him.
He didn't clock him with a 2 liter bottle of Diet Coke?An employee shot a customer during an argument yesterday at the Brockton store. The customer allegedly pulled a knife and the employee shot him. Sounds good except the employee fled the store and has been missing ever since. Oh, and he's eighteen.
It's going to be interesting to see what comes out of this.
Whenever I hear about some police officer struggling with qualification or complaining that they are not paid to practice, I am thinking "are you effing serious?".I think you described most police officers![]()
How about the yearly stipend some get for successfully qualifying? Basically you get a bonus for being able to do the job you get paid to do.Whenever I hear about some police officer struggling with qualification or complaining that they are not paid to practice, I am thinking "are you effing serious?".
“I believe this is going to be a very strong self-defense case under these circumstances,” said attorney Paul Carlson.
...
The victim was also charged and sent to Bridgewater State Hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.

Exactly. I mean, they have more tactical experience than the population at large, but they aren't going to be jumping into Ramada Inn with Seal Team 6 tomorrow.I think you described most police officers![]()

Wait, who is the victim again?
