This is my conversion on a budget to a Saiga 7.62 I picked up recently from B&K in Natick. I will eventually change the hand guard but for now I just modified the stock one.

Time to grab the Romy-G's out of the safe and take some pics.

Damn, now I need to get off my 4th point of contact and pick up an underfolder for throwing on the seat of the 4 wheeler.

My go to rifle:

Arsenal SAM7R-61 (MA neutered) milled 7.62x39, US Palm grip, VTAC Mk2 sling, Midwest Industries 30mm side-rail scope mount, Aimpoint PRO, Krebs MK VI safety, RS Regulate BM-1 barrel mount, VTAC light mount, and Streamlight Polytac. sam7r-1.jpg

Neat. Looks like mine since I put my RS rail on the side w/ PRO optic. How do you like your Krebs selector? I'm trying one shortly.

It works very well, though depending on your AK it may not be a simple drop in. I had to grind down a few points on mine to fit the SAM7R receiver. There is a small pin on the right side that gets in the way of the selector from going into the fire position completely (still fires but the detent is not engaged):

I also had to grind a small amount off the top of the selector so it fully went into safe.

I got one of those mk6 levers, ran it on the Krink this weekend at a 2-gun event. Worked great, I like it.
