Let's say you know the paper guys. There are trees they remove that aren't paper-worthy. Hard woods and such.
Let's say you rent a portable saw mill.
If you scrounged for other parts - yep, you could make a $5K cabin in deepest-darkest Maine.
Would I stay there? Hell no. I want heat and AC and working window screens and running water and lectrissity. But could someone MAKE a $5K cabin in 2024? If they were resourceful.
