Target Sports Delivering Again - Megathread

Wolf made a showing with 54r, x39, and 5.56. That M193 went really quick.

Eta maybe a glitch as the Wolf gold is back up. $529 😕

For those ordering 'self/home defense' ammo from i.e. TSUSA, what are you getting for .223/5.56, .308, etc.?

I'd think a quality spire point, bonded bullet would be good. Hornady (TAP, Interlock -- American Whitetail), Federal (Fusion), Winchester Super-X Power Point would be good loads for this. Heavy-for-caliber loads. Barrier blind. accurate. hard-hitting. mushrooms instead of fragments.

What's in your SHTF magazines?

MK262 and green tips. One for flesh and the other for barriers.

Hornady TAP is good stuff, in 5.56 and 7.62
Black Hills MK262 is also excellent, if you can find it.

So tried a few different boxes of 9mm in some P80s

AE 115gr - ran flawless
AE 124gr - 1 stovepipe
Blazer 124gr - few double feeds related to one gun
Magtech 115gr - flawless
New Republic 115gr - three light primer strikes. Avoid this ammo.
Geco 124gr - flawless
Norma 115gr - flawless

The Geco and the Norma were the cleanest punchiest of the group. I would buy alot more if found. AE was okay. Blazer kinda sucked. Magtech was surprisingly nice to run and 115gr seems to be the best grain for these builds. I will not be buying New Republic 9mm at all. That one box was the free one with the Ammo+ new membership.

I will run some Scorpio and S&B through them this week when I get a chance.

Sounds more like your guns suck tbh

People stocking up at 58+ cpr. Oof
While this is certainly arms flapping and pants shitting I do think we are entering a new paradigm which will affect all goods and services for a long time. Crazy times we are living in right now. Sticky long term inflation with shortages of key commodities could become the new reality.

Let me add the one unicorn case of Wolf 8M3.

That’s a rare one to have.
And the once legendary Magtech version of Mk262. Wish I had a Time Machine and could buy more of that.😢
I save what I have left for special occasions, like a war breaking out, civil or otherwise.

Home defense .223?

I bought Speer Gold Dot LE, 75 grain soft point, back when it was 55¢ per round in 2019.

Just sitting on it waiting till the day the zombie apocalypse kicks off, and in hindsight it’s one of the best ammo purchases I ever made.

Well, as most people here have been saying for a long time. If they can't get the gun control agenda pushed even further. And with the ME craziness, they'll putting on the blitz again.

They will again start to talk about controlling ammo for these "deadly assault weapons of war".

So I can see why people are in another rush to push ARs and the ammo to feed them
