The disgrace continues: Kucinich changes vote from no to yes on health care.

We've needed term limits across the board forever.

I can only imagine what Obama said to Kucinich. I hope his voters make him pay for his spinelessness.

Even better than having term times, set a regular time period and at the end of it, x amount of politians lose their jobs and are replaced (based on a tally of votes of course). Hell, after awhile they'll start to fight over ways to appease the people's wishes because it'll be the only way to keep their job.

I just can't believe he'd be so arrogant and ignorant to state that he changed his reasons after discussions and didn't even feel the need to include the word "voters" or "constituents" anywhere in his statement. It would have been a hollow statement but we're so far off the path now that one doesn't even invoke general outrage when omitting the voters from the discussion.

This November we need to make sure that the AMERICAN MAJORITY IS HEARD when it comes time to vote.

No excuses

They obviously have dirt on him that could end his political career.

The guy is basically an admitted socialist. Unless he was caught molesting a child or something, not really sure how you can get any politically worse than that.

There should be a 2 term limit on all Congress and Senate members. First term in office. Second term in jail. [smile]

November is too late. If this thing passes we are all financially, physically and morally (or complete lack there of) doomed. When was the last time our government ever repealed an entitlement program...that's right, never.

Can someone answer this: If the House passes the Senate version without their own changes, won't it go direct to Obama to sign into law for them to "fix later"? Or, if the House goes nuclear and deems it passed with their added changes, then the Senate just has to approve the changes with a simple majority. If the Senate does not agree to the House changes, can't they just throw their hands up and shuffle it off to Obama to sign into law anyway?

The time to kill this thing was months ago. I'm really scared now. The government will have the power to control anything they deem unhealthy.

Anyone who thought Kucinich wasn't going to vote for this monstrosity was kidding themselves.

"after careful discussions with President Obama; Speaker [Nancy] Pelosi; my wife, Elizabeth; and close friends, I've decided to vote in favor of this legislation."

Does anyone else think it's both hilarious and sad that his constituents were pretty much the only people he left off his list?

I dont understand why a rep can change their mind like that.

No one cares what you think about the issue. Your job is to vote based on the wishes of the people from OH that elected you.

Don't you get it? They elected him because he's SOOOOOO much smarter than they are and can make those kinds of decisions for them because he's SOOOOO smart.[puke]

More crap:
http://www.nytimes.com/2010/03/18/health/policy/18health.html

At his news conference, Mr. Kucinich said his vote was intended partly to protect Mr. Obama’s presidency. The health care legislation is Mr. Obama’s top domestic priority, and Republicans have made defeating it their top goal.

“In the past week it’s become clear that the vote on the final health bill will be very close,” Mr. Kucinich said. “I take this vote with the utmost seriousness. I’m quite aware of the historic fight, which has lasted the last century.”

He added, “The president’s visit to my district on Monday underscores the urgency of this vote.”

In a private conversation aboard Air Force One, traveling to Ohio on Monday, President Obama pressed Mr. Kucinich for his support for the bill. The White House did not know what the congressman had decided until earlier on Wednesday, when his aides advised administration officials and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of his plans.

While supporting the Senate bill, Mr. Kucinich said he did not like the procedure that might be used to pass it without an up-or-down vote in the House.

“I don’t like much of anything about this process,” Mr. Kucinich said.

Explaining factors he had considered in making his decision, Mr. Kucinich said, “We have to be very careful that the potential of President Obama’s presidency not be destroyed by this debate.”
Mr Kucinich once again putting the people first.

He's always been known as a loon.

Now we know he's a spineless loon and a whore.

Lol, I just remembered I had this gem in the archives.....

I called his office today. It went something like this.

Aid: Mr Kucinich's office....
Me: Yes, I'd like to get Congressman Kucinich's home address.
Aid: Excuse me?
Me: Yes. I said I'd like Mr. Kucinich's home address please.
Aid: Well huh. We don't have that... (cut off by me)
Me: Well, that's too bad because I have 30 pieces of silver that I like to send to him.
Aid: Huh?
Me: Never mind. Please tell the Congressman he is a traitor to the Constitution. Have a nice day.

I'm telling you right now nothing will change until we make it change. Not ask for it to change. It's going to take a few dozen flocks of geese and an industrial size tub of tar.

"after careful discussions with President Obama; Speaker [Nancy] Pelosi; my wife, Elizabeth; and close friends, I've decided to vote in favor of this legislation."

Strange, I thought he was supposed to be representing a group of citizens, not Obama, Pelosi, his wife or friends.

How can we make the folks in the democratic party feel that the jobs they currently have are at risk for re-election time, if they slam health-care down our throat? [sad]

Financially, the behavior will bury us in debt, and morally, why are they telling me what I need? Is impeachment too strong a word? Is it not possible, or should somebody be talking about how to remove these nitwits from public office? They seem bent on damaging or at least hampering our country.

I do not hear any dissenting message in the mainstream media, and have not heard a peep from the usual pundits. How can we express dissatisfaction with their view, except for waiting until November when they could be voted out of office. It would but too late to stop this flawed bill.

I have a bit of trouble figuring out how somewho who has publicly stated that he regularly communicates with beings from Mars would be afraid of anything -- and I mean anything -- that someone might say about him.

Perhaps the Martians told him to change his vote.
