Just picked up this AK last Friday. Shot 200 rounds. Took it apart to clean it, and discovered this chuck of missing metal. Any advice on how I would get this repaired? Appears to be the trunion.

A guy here from NES. I texted him, will see what he says. Doesn’t look good though. Probably will need to get the whole trunion replaced. From whom did you buy the gun?
Got any pics of the whole gun and it all together?A guy here from NES. I texted him, will see what he says. Doesn’t look good though. Probably will need to get the whole trunion replaced.
It’s completely disassembled right now. I was in the process of giving it a 100% detailed cleaning.Got any pics of the whole gun and it all together?

It ran great, no problems at all. The gun was caked with carbon too. Looks like it has fired thousands of rounds with out a cleaning.Gotcha. Did everything run smoothly?

Probably is but that metal must be there for a reason.Lol. I'll give you $501.
Seriously. Rifle is fine.
I agree with @Picton but yes you want it a good usable gun. Get a repair and move on. Not sure i would gonafter the seller. Either you missed it during inspection when you bought it. Or it happened after you got it. Maybe a decent smith will tell you how it happened. And if that happens please share with usProbably is but that metal must be there for a reason.
