While driving this morning, two deceased beavers, a couple of miles apart. And a mile beyond that, a rafter of bearded birds blockading the roadway.

A bald eagle has been in my pond terrorizing the herons and the geese. Beautiful site, but it's definitely disturbing the peace.

Because they are scavengers first. They are crappy hunters and fishers. A hawk will out-hunt a bald eagle every day. An osprey will drop a fish rather than fight with a bald eagle - because it's just too easy for it to catch another fish.

Eagles will terrorize the herons for a meal and ditto for the osprey. In fact, when bald eagles are nesting, the osprey won't even come around that area. They'll just avoid it that season.

But Canada geese? They can beat those F'ers all they want. I hate those things. LOL
