I just counted, I’ve blocked 413 people so far. Mostly dealers or people that just come here to try and sell stuff.

I'd pay an extra $5 a year as a member to stop them from posting in the non-dealer section. Thankfully, I don't need much anymore so I don't do much wading. Although at some point, I have to start SELLING guns - and I could get lost in the sea of posts.

Maybe dealers should be forced to only have ONE post on the FS shortguns, long guns, etc at a time. Put all your silly overpriced crap in ONE post instead of 50.

There are 42 dealers listed, at $125 a whack that is just over $5000 in income to defray the cost of the server, tech support, software, and put a couple of bucks in the site owners pocket for their work

i like the dealer posting & stuff for sale appearing in my daily feed so that i don't have to go look for it specifically. Often times i don't realize that i must have that new gun until someone shows it to me

Since you touched upon it, I don't think most people realize that the really cool / rare guns are almost never posted. Like with any business we know our customer. Those guns are almost always sold before they even arrive at the shop. Loyalty goes both ways.

If the people that are obviously dealers also that are selling a ton of stuff would actually pay the membership fee it would help. If all your posts as a green member are for new gun sales you probably should have a dealer account.

Certain days/ times the ads are off the hook. Go to the offending forum and click "Mark Read". Poof all the ads by all the dealers are gone. No paywall required.

I have an email from Derek(main admin) saying he was going to to do something to block dealers from posting in the regular classifieds in April of 2024. Said it would take a little time to implement. Well…that didn’t happen.

When I got a warning for re-listing an item for sale. Was the time when dealers where really spamming the board and you would put something for sale and within 4 hours you were already on page 3

The workaround is trivial. A personal account that is green and you can post to the non dealer section. And for $100 more why do I want to lose the ability to post to all the classifieds?
