Lugnut, I'm glad you also made it down. Harvard is the Disney Land of shooting ranges. The best part is you always get your own shooting pit whenever you go which is great. You don't have to wait around to shoot. Just show up set up your targets however you want (safely of course) and practice what you need to work on for the day. Plus, they have a pair of plate racks setup all the time which is great.
As for the gear that we use.... it's pretty cool stuff. Your Glock will be PERFECT for this game. The setup you have that you mentioned is absolutely perfect. You'll notice that most people use a 1911 of some sort usually a high cap frame.
Are you coming back again?
FWIW, Uncle Fester and I waited at the club from 4:45pm to 6:10pm, and nobody showed up.
Very very frustrated. Especially after we said that we were going.
Certainly! Disney Land is a good description. I thought I might have been in Holleywood with all the props and set ups.
You got a kick out of the Old West Village, eh? That is an increadible facility.
How far into the fall do these practice sessions go? I'm going out of town and would like to try it just once if I can find some time.
There is a match this weekend at Manville.
If you are new, just let Paul Taylor know at the shooter's meeting and he'll set you up with a "shooting buddy" to show you the ropes.
All you need to bring is a revolver with moon clips or speed loaders, belt, holster, ammo, holders on belt for the clips or speed loaders, and a desire to have a good time.
(you can't blame me for trying to recruit revolver shooters)
AND, of course, tip money for the MD, RO and your "shooting buddy."![]()
NO; I'm just kidding. Come. Have fun.
