She might be a luke warm anti-gunner but that's a good thing. She will care enough to want to continue to push for 2A cases to go up in front of SCOTUS but not care so much that she will put serious effort into it.
Also, legislature is what creates or repeals laws. Problem is Republicans know that they have 2A community by the balls. They don't bother to do ANYTHING for 2A but expect 99% of pro-2A folks to vote republican. Who else are you going to vote for? Democrats? don't be silly!

Realistically what is anyone going to do about it? Send him an angry letter? 🤣 not to mention wedge issue politics are so far down the food chain most presidents ignore them. Trump will ultimately be judged on immigration and economic issues, everything else is basically noise.
 
Still a thousand times better than what the alternative was. Guns are just not a priority for Trump. Never was. I have to believe (because what other choice is there) that he's looking more for someone who will go after the corruption with-in the deep state. Weather or not she works out is yet to be known. But yea doesn't bode well.
 
The laws are the laws. I know we aren't used to that concept (a non-politicized AG) in mAss, but her job is to enforce the laws on the books. This complaint is best directed to the ATF and the legislature/President regarding the too many regulations/laws on the books. She will be a huge improvement from the Garland/Holder types, IMO.

Lol that's not a very high bar to reach. That said I agree that wishful thinking for a disruptor isn't that realistic. The best anyone can hope for out of this AG is the slim possibility that she might go after some of the people f***ing things up over the past few years, but I'm not holding my breath on that either. I doubt she'll be worse than Barr though. What a useless POS that guy was.

I'm just looking for equal application of the law. Lawfare against Dems would not be productive, IMO. The voters sent a message on their opinion of that earlier this month.

The funny part of this is that I spent four years watching MAGAns engage in projection to an amazing degree. Whatever they believed and they wanted, they believed Trump was the same. No matter how much his actual record disagreed, he became their proxy selves.

Now many of them are crawfishing back. "What? I never said he was perfect! Did you expect me to support a Democrat???"

No, I expected you to push for a better Republican candidate instead of falling on your knees for a pretender.

Yeah, that’s just as dumb of a perspective.

His choices have been disappointing to say the least, but the reality is the squishy Republican Senators prevent disrupters like Gaetz from being confirmed.

Gaetz is his own biggest obstacle.

If I ever entertained the idea that anyone in Trump's advisory circle engages in 3D chess, it's because Gaetz is now completely out of government.
 
90% BS comments as usual. WTF Kamala has to do with it? I am saying that we got again "the most conservative electable...." just like Romney and McKein were.... He is not great at ALL. At his first term other than attacking the 2nd amendment for internal policy he hasnt done squat (reminds me of Gurbachev - foreign policy champion). To all those "pragmatists" that are saying "its a better option" that why MA is where it is. The left puts the best they have for them (i.e. Maura) and we put the best we can get (the Gun Ban Romney, blotting paper Baker). At least the left has a vision.

Politicians will do waht they need to survive. She might change and go full blown pro 2A, depends on what direction her boss pushes her.

Remember, we have great 2A attorneys in MA that used to be prosecutors. (Not calling those lawyers politicians or scumbags).
