Do what you want, they’re not my kids either but I’d still protect them without needing some odd familiarity decree.
I was just asking because I see and hear a lot of pissed off parents lately who’re dealing with socialist school boards and teachers also using that ‘my kids’ thing when trying to explain that they know better than the parents do, and then the actual parents saying ‘the f*** they are those are my kids and no one else’s’.
It was just a curiosity to me. I don’t think you or @Picton are in that group of commies thankfully but the terminology was the same so I asked. Now you can go piss in the corner.![]()

I'm pretty sure teachers have been using that or similar terminology forever for exactly the reason Picton mentioned. That is separate from the woke who have since hijacked language in general, who have almost certainly hijacked the meaning of that too. To normal people, it's simply an easy way to refer to those in their class. To the mentally deranged, they probably think those in their class is an equivalent to actually having children themselves.
