Thanks. The STRIKEFIRE was moved over to plinker, as it's not my shtf rifle. There are iron sights and the P223 on the CG-AR now. That's going to be my go to.wtf rifle....

If that scope isn't QD, check out Amazon for a set of offset irons. I grabbed them for lols, and they aren't half bad.

The scope on the left ar (my CG-AR QD build) is the Nikon P223 3x32, with the yhm 5040 Quick deployment same plane sights.

I have a set on my AR. They work alright as back ups. I will be going traditional flip ups once i get a QD mount.

Are not happy with them, or are you just going a different direction with your rifle?
It's not that I'm not happy, but it is slightly awkward to tilt the rifle, and I like the idea that I can shoot off a bipod with the regular irons if I want.
They work and hold zero just fine. I'll be putting them back on my 22 when I take them off the AR.

I bought a set for one of my ARs which has an ACOG mounted it. I am happy with them.

How do you like that AP tube? It uses the JP base right? I almost bought that same tube for my over weight 18" gun.

That rifle looks familiar.
It mounts to a standard barrel nut. It is pretty slick setup. The Carbon Arms used the JP.

Their lower isn't that badly priced. $140 for 7075-T6. I couldn't find a photo on their site. I was just curious.

It says they use a set screw to lock the upper to the lower. Interesting.
It is a cool idea, but I never use it since I carry my rifles in small discrete cases

If your rifle is always assembled, does that set screw serve the same purpose like an accu wedge?
Are you paying for that??
Personally, I'd rather one AR with an optic than two without.
