Gun Parlor does it again…

How many people on this thread that are calling the buyer a fool and getting ripped off by GP bought an AR for $1500 or more, knowing it is truly only worth $400? How many here have paid more than 11 bucks for a 30 round mag?

Yet, you feel perfectly fine with your decision. Value is in the eye of the owner.

Simultaneously though there are tons of people here who got taken to the cleaners and are bitter about it or wish they weren't so stupid, but they don't say much because they don't like being embarrassed lol.

It is. And I wouldn't change that. Besides, it's critically important that the dealers survive. If that takes massive price increases on "about to be banned" guns and lowers (i.e., "grandfathered stuff" as you more correctly put it) to keep the dealers in business, so be it. It boots me out of the marketplace for now, but that's a different issue.

The bottom 40% of dealers in mass could disappear tomorrow and only the low infos would miss them.

But really the issue isn't that they ripped off a newb. That's a business decision to rip off someone who doesn't know better with the understanding they'll likely not be a long term customer when they find out.

The real issues with them are the media hit piece in gun owners and the snitching on gun owners that bought from them by sending their 4473s to the AG after they got in trouble for selling Glocks.

GP sucks because they just suck. They’re sellouts to gov. They turn over 4473 info, do rat stories on mail order ammo and are hypocrites because they sell Glocks but like to complain about other’s who play the frame game.

I can see that. There are also people that probably paid more then they should have but had to have that piece. I'll include myself. Not sad about it though.
Yes I understand. Can a dealer still order them for a customer and transfer it?

That is what I did with my G40. Went to LGS and asked. They offered to order it. I had it soon after. If you are going this route I wouldn't expect a deal. You will probably be paying retail at least.

This thread is still going? I don't think anyone cares that this dude over paid. People are just irritated that those dirty f***s are still around. Yes, I'm talking about you gun parlor. With your gay green sign that I have to drive by at least 50 times on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

And yet is appears that GP just sold the newbie a Gen 5 Glock 19....

Would this be the proper thread to admit newb mistakes?

Shortly after I arrived in MA I got a killer deal on a lower. FTF paid cash and all set except I later saw that a bunch of forum members had been hosed on this guy's lower group buy that was in play at the same time.

I wonder whose lower it was? [laugh]

I bought an old colt 1911, granted I was planning on using it for gunsmith practice. Paid a little less than the going rate, it was beat hard.

But, I was expecting it to at least fire a round. I got boned. Not the end of the world.

JFC - OP is just trying to save NES folks a couple of hundred bucks on a G19. He tried to do the same with his buddy, who didn't listen, so figured he would let us all know.

I don't know about you, but I appreciate it when someone offers advice that saves me a couple of hundred bucks. But. in typical NES fashion, no good deed goes unpunished.
My thinking is there are really only two logical responses to this thread.

1. Thanks for the heads up. I don't like doing business with scumbags.
2. Thanks for sharing. I already knew the Gun Parlor are scumbags.
It reminds me of the chocolate chip cookie thread. The dude said he doesn't want to cook and everyone just told him to make them himself lol
