I agree, mine runs fine and I carried it for almost a year.

I tend to shoot it quite well vs. my other pistols though it's no longer my EDC since it's not optic ready and I don't care to upgrade the slide.

All my 10 round mags run Federal HST just fine, never noticed an issue. I have some older ones and newer ones with the orange followers.

I've shot my Gen 2 so much that it's proven it's reliability and given me peace of mind. Even though I have a Gen 5 of the same model, I continue to carry the Gen 2. Federal HST hp's have given me no issues.

I've installed night sights and otherwise left it as-is. Don't mind not having a rail either. I like it simple.

People with older guns, do you replace springs or other internals just for the fact that they're older?

Yep. They're just range mags now. Actually, their value should be less than 10 rounders because of their age. And if someone were to just say f*ck it and carry 15/17 rounders regardless of the law, they may as well buy new ones rather than trust their lives to a 30 year old magazine because afaik, they're the same in the eyes of the law.

People who hoarded pre bans in the hopes of selling at a huge mark up got donked hard.

Either way will work! I know that a preban can be bought for $15 not to far away from our wonderful borders. So, if your tight on funds, it can be $15 used/ancient or $30 for brand new. Then you have to factor in one other component, the NES way! 😀
 
Why do I torment myself and open these threads.

I actually like my Gen 2s. So I'd have no problem if I couldn't own a newer Gen. And as I said in another thread, I stopped paying attention during Gen 4 anyway.

Find a friend who lives in NH, ask him if he can put your name in the utility bill. Then have him sublet you a room and get either #2 or 4. If he/she is a true friend, it won’t cost anything.

Take those forms to a gun store and that’s your proof of residency.

How do you get this gun into MA legally? Let's say you have the dual residency figured out, but now you can only carry that Glock in NH?

I'd say "no".

If you have a great job, home, family, and friends here in Massachusetts - I'd rather have all that rather than move away just to own a new Glock.

It would be a sad lonely life sitting in a new house with just Gen 5 and a new Noveske at the table and nothing else.

Even a Glock Gen 2 is better than some other newer manufacturers.

I didnt move out of MA because of gun laws. I moved out because it's a statist shit hole and I dont feel safe there anymore.

Every few months there is a news report about someone from out of state attempting to fraudulently obtain a NH drivers license. The take this very seriously and you and your friend may both get in troubles. Owning a home or having a real lease will probably avoid trouble but will cost $$$$$

You keep the MA drivers license. You don’t have to own a home, just prove that you live there at least part time. But it depends on whether the FFL will accept those documents or not after seeing your MA ID.

I’m not doing this, I’m just pointing out the ways. If someone absolutely can’t live without a new Glock and aren’t willing to move, then this is a half solution. Problem is bringing the Glock back.
