holy crap in my pants am i EXCITED TO SHOOT THIS THING!

You have just taken a turn down a very dark road, not to mention expensive. The 1911 habit can be addictive, be careful.

I realize this. Now I have all my bases covered. My G33 for personal protection while in the community, My Ruger .22 pistol for plinking fun (and encouraging the gf to start shooting), the 1911 for home protection and range happiness, and the Mosin rifle (my ONLY interest in rifles being milsurp, but I cant keep up THAT kind of a habit)

As the Gentleman's Warehouse guy says, "You're gonna love it, I guarantee it."

My G33 for personal protection while in the community, My Ruger .22 pistol for plinking fun (and encouraging the gf to start shooting), the 1911 for home protection and range happiness,

Dump the rest. The 1911 does it all. It'll soon be your favorite.

Beautiful looking firearm and they go and ruin it by plastering "CAPABLE OF FIRING WITH MAGAZINE REMOVED" on it. [thinking]

Didn't their lawyers inform them of the "Protection Of Lawful Commerce in Firearms Act"?

John Moses Browning would have a stroke over that one.

Regardless... nice purchase and welcome to the 1911 club. [smile]

Nice looking gun, I so want to get another S&W 1911 before this sale ends.

Respectfully,

You paid over $800 for a gun?

You have aquired an elegant p-iece of machinery there. I wonder if it would be a Liabilty to have operating instructions printed upon the weapon? "CAPABLE OF FIRING WITH MAGAZINE REMOVED"

This information may allow an untrained unauthorized individual to have operating knowlege that they ortherwise made not be privileged to.

On a reletad topic. Waht is that high tech extrusion protruding from the vicinity of the Magizine? Is it an electric bullet pusher?

Wow, congrats.. I am in the market for a S&W 1911 cuz one isn't enough... Please give us a full report... also, let me know if you have any trouble with holsters due to the accessory rail..

Good luck!

+1

Beautiful gun -- but that was the first thing that caught my eye too. I'm so glad my 1911PD is post-billboard and pre-warning.

so I finally got a chance to open this biotch up at the range! The trigger on it is FANTASTIC. IM used to shooting mostly my subcompact Glock which has some serious recoil to it, but this thing absorbs it well. I love the feel in my hands all the way from the click of adding the magazine to the final resting of the gun on the bench.

Absolutely fantastic.

Funny how that only happens with certain guns and not others, huh?

Glad you like the new 1911!

Actully I dislike mag disconnects SO much I love having an ad on the side of my 1911s that inform the world that one isn't there.

Those rails are sexy! You gotta get a bayonet for them! [devil2]

Where did you pick that beauty up? I been looking at the stainless one they had at Bass Pro, but i really wanted the black one its nice to see there MA legal too.
