I have contact and shipping info for troops who are deployed with the iraqi army and they and the iraqi's are using AKs and dont have gear for them.

Wanted to ship them a 75 round drum I have never used.
Is it legal to export? Its a military overseas address.

C-pher, they were at Dix, that was a whole different ballgame. I already told him to PM someone, he doesn't need to get in trouble with customs etc.[wink]

Good question. Technically, all APO/FPO addresses are US addresses (they all go to someplace in NJ, then to wherever), but they still need to go through customs. I haven't really heard of anything going out of the US getting x-rayed and/or searched, but stuff coming back does (stuff out of Iraq all goes on a DHL plane, so in addition to the USPS xray, DHL does it too). I think your best bet would be to ask at the post office. If they can't answer it, they will probably be able to point you in the right direction.

FYI- porn is contraband in the Iraqi theater [wink]

I don't think you'd have to worry about stuff coming back. You can hand carry pretty much anything through customs at Ali Al Salem with no issues. As long as the magazines are empty of live ammo, no one will care.

Did you forget about US Customs?
