Assuming this BS goes through (and it will), how are they going to notify LTC holders of the new law? Just assume I read NES and should know?

Individual CoPs might send something out, but generally? No. You'll find out about this the same way you find out about any and every other change to any and every other law: you won't, until you break it.

Laws change all the time. If they paid money to write, copy, and mail a letter every time that happened, that's millions if not billions just to let people know. These days, they'll post it online and expect us to inform ourselves. "Ignorance is no excuse for the law," as they say.

It also creates documentation, and fear of the unknown is far more effective

hahahaha...

If they sent out letters every time they made a new law, we'd all be neck deep in mail...

They don't care to clue us in.

Remember the phrase, "ignorance of the law is no excuse".

No thank you.

I prefer my correspondence to be in the form of a telegram as it has that old school charm and debonair style that I am so fondly characterized as having an abundance of.

EDTA: Well, this just came. I think the thread is being monitored, I could be wrong.

Random thought, they could comb the FA-10 system for certain guns (e.g. model) and then send letters to people that they have 30 days to provide proof they have disposed of it, otherwise see my pictures above.
Not going to happen. You are not required to have proof you don't own a gun anymore.

Sent them to Benchmade for destruction... Get a receipt.

That might be it, there might not be a good way other than getting a receipt when you sell/surrender it to an FFL/police...

You are and will always be a felon in waiting...
LOL I ordered a new Benchmade Custom Bugout--- from China [laugh]. That way I know that no AR15's were harmed to make that product.
[rofl]

Give $100 to a lawyer to type that, will take that person 5 minutes and send it to the State.

Form letter... Hope it $100 for all and not each!

GOOD! F' them... I have none anymore, only one I would ever own again would be a used AFCK AND ONLY because used knives don't support them. But I would feel dirty....

I had ordered a MicroTech Halo 6 knockoff that was held up in customs. Eventually I received a refund and decided to use that for a F-U to Benchmade. LOL the Halo delivered this week and the vendor said just keep it.

So which local MA company is going to go full Benchmade and chop up turned in AR's for Maura?

[rofl]
