No- the question of how will they enforce has not been answered. I'm not asking what will be banned nor what is the cut off. There are a lot of inane details in the bill but I have not seen the particulars regarding enforcement action. For example, 'funding for 3am no-knock raids' followed by 'funding for widows of 3am raiders'. [laugh]
Yes. You've seen nothing about that. They would never put specific tactics into a bill, but it seems to be true that there are no significant appropriations attached to this.

Perhaps that should tell you something.

I'm obviously no wordsmith. But what part of the statement can you argue with? High potency Pepper Spray can cause a unresolved attacker to back off, but not one who has a galvanized purpose. Like a rapist. And no one cares about the table-flipped victim? Who cries over a rapist dying?
pepper spray makes me horny

Hmmmmmm........and to think I have been accused of being a thread drifter...........:)

Think of it more as dark humor. There's not much else to do as we are all waiting to see what the verdict may be when they pull thier heads out with the inevitable sucking sound. Will it be one nut, both perhaps or the whole enchilada that they stake a claim on, much like Spain and a lost treasure. Then there's the ups and downs to bear while whatever it may be slowly slithers its way through the court systems. Cheers.

Actually I don't mind it, takes some of the pressure off me as I have sent more than 1 thread careening off the road!! LOL

It has been answered in multiple posts in this thread. As it is now we are split between "everything pre-94 is banned" and "everything post 2016 is banned". I am of the opinion that the final bill will grandfather everything up to when it is enacted (August?), but it might be wishful thinking.

Short answer - we dont know yet.

I think they will grandfather everything up to a point BUT, will not allow any of the firearms "designated" as "assault weapons" to be transferred except out of state (or turned in, of course). That will definitely suck but the greatest impact will be on dealers and future/"newer" gun owners, which is their ultimate goal, to reduce the number of guns, gun owners, and dealers in the state over the long term through "attrition". Even in the short-term, this could have drastic impacts on dealer’s profitability immediately, and they don't have years to wait until legal challenges are settled.

nah, dealers have been doing "LEO ONLY" bullshit for years now without a law on the books, putting one in place won't affect them

This exactly. This is all about reducing interest in firearms in future generations, putting FFLs out if business, and creating an atmosphere of fear around owning guns.

And they’ll do it without having to enforce any of it.

...creating an atmosphere of fear around owning guns.

This especially, is their motive.

Random thought, they could comb the FA-10 system for certain guns (e.g. model) and then send letters to people that they have 30 days to provide proof they have disposed of it, otherwise see my pictures above.

Why would they say word one about enforcement when introducing new law? Maybe argue about the particulars behind closed doors but for everyone else it’s irrelevant. I think you know this.

But we can guess. Using factual data even. Maybe they will do what CA did and make a dedicated agency to investigate as well as enforce those new law violations. Or maybe and probably they will do what they have already done in MA. Wait until selective people trip up and jam them fully within the confines of the law…

Potentially, but how would proof be supplied? A video of the thing being chucked into a car compactor? Etc. Etc.?

Sent them to Benchmade for destruction... Get a receipt.

That might be it, there might not be a good way other than getting a receipt when you sell/surrender it to an FFL/police...

You are and will always be a felon in waiting...

Ok so you're slow too I see. I provided real input in my post.
1. You're to cheap to buy a membership to support NES, but you take advantage of what NES has to offer. You know, typical free shit army behavior.
2. You're disrespectful.
3. A vetting process would eliminate big mouth, fools like you.
This is valuable and quality input.
As for inbreeding, you're mom doesn't seem to object to my breeding.
to be faaaiiirrrr the "vetting" a membership offers isn't much of a guarantee of quality either, lol.... i've been green a while...

to be fair letterkenny problems GIF

Spot on. What matters is the long game (of attrition) as you said and stunting the growth/ number of new owners. We and folks like us will make sure that by the deadline we have most if not all of the toys we want for the rest of our lives (if the bill does t get killed in litigation), but the new shooters will have tough time obtaining any meaningful long gun for sure once the bill goes into effect.
