It's the MA pant shitter mentality. Every time one of these stupid laws comes up we have a bunch of people asking what kind of lube to put on their bunghole instead of thinking about ways to kill/stop/avoid the rapists.
More like desperately desiring soft compliance and mindless obeisance. Most want that legal pacifier to suck on, thinking that it will somehow protect them from the machine.
And your assertion that they can't pass it the way it is.... is hysterical... have you not read any mass gun law and how f***ed up and poorly written it is? Politicians passing poorly written laws is a Pastime in this state.

Fortunately I made my choice 5+ years ago. I moved out of MA. I now say that it is the best decision, professionally and personally, that I ever made. It wasn't easy. It took seven years from decision point to finding the right job in a decent location and securing the funds for the transition. One raps what they sow.
Goal is just an Advocate. They speak for us. If we don’t get out there and spread the word. Show up when needed. Get people to understand what’s at stake. And support goal right now. They’re swimming against the tide.

what is supporting goal at this point going to for us. Advocating has gotten them no where. Actually less than no where. What would giving them MORE MONEY do at this point? Wouldn’t our money and time be more beneficial going to the .org who is going to come in and save our asses?

Goal may not be able to help any longer on this current bill but the coalition trying to disarm us wont stop w/ this one. There will be more bills and perhaps they can help on the next one. That is why I will continue to support as many .orgs on our side that I can. My $0.02 (all I have left after last weeks donations/renewals etc

)It’s keeping our opposition of this bill in their face. Nothing legally can be done because it’s not law yet. I would think goal will be an instrumental resource to which ever origination takes it up once there is something they can take to court. It sucks it has to go that Far/long. All the orgs have been mentioned so donate to the ones you think will do best.

Just curious, let’s say FPC or GOA steps in and sues Mass when they vote this into law. What would goal be “instrumental” in doing? All the info is out there, lawers that know federal law and mass law will be all over this representing us for whatever .org steps in. What would goal help with. Would it only be money?
I know Jim W and goal are working for us, im not saying they aren’t.
But do you really think GOAL is relevant anymore? Do you think our elected officials respect or fear goal…either would be fine, but they don’t.
When is the last time Comm2a has helped us or brought litigation in Mass? Was it 2018?
I think this state needs a new approach, a more aggressive approach, I don’t know what it is, more threats of suing, holding individual senators and representatives accountable. A new . Org that organizes Peacefull protest in Front of these clowns homes when they try to violate our god given rights.
I’m not going to be able to answer you in any way that is going to make you happy. We’re working with what we have right now. We can’t sue until there is something to go after. Sounds like you have an idea. So step up and start that org. Not being sarcastic but if that’s your idea run with it. Drum up the support. From what I’ve seen it’s not easy to get 700,000 LTC holders on board.

This bill isn't law yet - the committees working it won't hear about the legal and constitutional issues in the bill from the other side. GOAL is there to let them know that parts of this bill will cost the state millions in legal fees.

One can hope that the House and Senate end up being unable to reach agreement but this is Mass and any gun bill is a good bill.

Look at the difference between the house bill and the senate bill - that's GOALs work.
If we are lucky SCotUS will issue a similar order to Caetano, "Try again idiots" if they take the case at all.

What you have to understand is there are a lot of people here who given a lot of money over many years to these .orgs. They are fed up with giving and still getting chipped away Every few years. You’re in the compromise group, and that’s how we have gotten where we are. There is no compromise for 2a rights.

His point is that the status quo HAS worked... to turn the eventual bill from "utterly shitty" to "mostly shitty." Whether you admit it or not, that represents a significant change. Thing is, the inferior court still hasn’t had a chance to “try again”. If they do anything it would probably be similar to what they did in Antonyuk where they basically said “hurry up”
