I think you are confusing Mara Healy, our governor and former attorney general, from Nikki Haley a presidential candidate.

I am not, nor will ever "come around" on that corrupt lying pile of dog s*** Trump.

I intend to write in DeSantis. As have consistently said here.
Haley can piss off. We are innocent until proven guilty in this country, not the other way around. It's not on you to prove that you legally possessed something prior to a date. It's on them to prove you did not.
I think secretly you are on the band wagon.....welcome aboard.

The Senate version doesn't make changes to registration, does it? I remember the House creating some sort of new registration scheme.

Ms. Creem moves that the proposed new text......

in section 3, by inserting after the word “weapon”, in line 115, the following words:- “; provided further, that the weapon shall not be considered a copy or duplicate if the weapon was owned and registered in the commonwealth prior to July 20, 2016”.

July 20, 2016 has no meaning. Never did. Never will. One Leftists opinion and arbitrary moment in time, is not Law!

Bills can become law...

Grandfathering will more than likely be included in the final bill and it will include all 'registered' (FA10) firearms up to it's passing. This is my guess. I don't think anyone other than this Creem douche cares about a July 2016 date. The biggest complaint about this bill is it's potential to make felons overnight so IMO that won't happen. It will likely be the only 'compromise'.

So you are saying there might be grandfathering but not just before July 2016.

Do you think they will have grandfathering up until August of 2024?

That would create a giant vortex of AR-15 lowers rushing into Massachusetts until August.

If they grandfather it will most likely be from the day it was passed.

Punishment for the troglodytes who did not listen to Healey and followed the written laws and then actually submitted an eFA10 afterwards.
you have 7 or 8 days(I forget) to do the transaction registration once the lower is complete with the trigger I thought. So July 20th should not be the end all be all anyway.
They don't care who's civil rights are violated, listen to your master

Which essentially renders the whole thing meaningless because of all the known problems with the garbage eFA10 system.

Stop worrying about grandfathering. That should be the least of everyone's concern.

Do you really think grandfathering will make this piece of trash acceptable to you?

One good thing about grandfathering is it provides a little breathing room for the nervous while things play out in the courts. But yeah, it's no victory.

Grandfathering may slow down the process but this the AWB is unconstitutional by Bruen's reiteration/ clarification of Heller's common use test.
Except the liberal courts are arguing that the Bruen common use test is circular and can be interpreted in any number of ways. The 1st circuit court told us that because AR15s are rarely used in self defense, they aren't in common use. By that logic, almost every gun that isn't a handgun isn't protected by the 2nd Amendment since 98% of all defensive gun use is done with a handgun.

Pulled a few of the amendments up

Amendment 38:
  • One gun per month
  • Microstamping (3 year delay)
  • Removes the exemption for possession in home or business (can't move here with guns, period)
Amendment 41:
  • removes the 180 day limit on healthcare worker's initiating a red flag (so a nurse you saw 30 years ago can red-flag your ass)
Amendment 51
  • Extends dangerousness holds to 240 days
Amendment 57
  • Establishes a commission on "ghost guns mills" then tasks that commission to create an actual definition

Is there anything about having to report guns to an HOA if you live in one?

Sorry, in meetings all day and not sure where I can scan this info while I listen to people.

When was that the 70’s. There havnt been 1000 people at the state house for 2a related as long as I e been alive
Having been to most rallies in the last 35 years I can assure you that what is being talked about with respect to rallies was not in the seventies. If you bothered attending to show your support you would have known how completely ignorant your post is before you posted.

I believe the senate version has something along those lines related to condos.
