I haven't made it through all of the amendments but the vast majority of them are stupid - from my call to Senator Pacheco (slurping it up) I couldn't get a clear answer on if the vote was only on amendments or the bill and its amendments.
My thought is they are going to toss this through as fast as possible in order to get things in line for the hard coded dates in the amendments to be able to be met.

We would be in a better position if the house bill were to pass since that is so far over the line that even the 1st Circus would need to intervene in order to keep SCOTUS from taking it up immediately.
This one will likely linger on for a few years unless something out of the 9th or 4th clears the path first.

I'd like to toss his toupee in his soup. What a complete ass he is. I can't figure out why he gets elected. A tough working-class town. He votes CONSISTENTLY to raise taxes and ignore temporary aid. (Like the temp repeal of the Gas Tax in 2020.) He is clearly not out for Taunton but out for Bacon Hill. I think the next big challenger to him, I'm going to spend big to help them. Hell, I'd consider putting an ad on that billboard on 44 near N Walker St reminding people he passed every income tax increase he's seen PLUS didn't lower the gas tax. He's no friend of Taunton.

I wonder what a billboard costs for 60 days.

Is anyone capable of recording the entire video? I'm not set up to do that.

At least they're not doing it in the middle of the night like the 1986 Hughes Amendment.
They don’t have to do anything in the middle of the night. They have a rabid liberal supermajority, and past or current sponsors of the bill have described SCOTUS as illegitimate and they are openly ignoring past landmark decisions. They can pass any hairbrained liberal gun grab that they feel good about and the governor will sign it. IF it ever gets to SCOTUS, Biden will have already packed the court in his second term with the dems controlling both houses.

Nailed it

I think all that is material here is what amendments will be accepted. Once that is done they will have to merge at a later date the two bills. This is where the real trickery will happen. Once that takes place the clock is ticking as next it will be voted on a different date without further discussions and then signed prolly the same day by Maura.

Edit: it is 12:09 and they are still recessed

The present discussion is about the eFA10 system and what's in it, which is entirely relevant to the broader discussion about the new bills. More specifically, the discussion is about what does and does not show up in said system; I continue to maintain that the database does not necessarily contain all the firearms you've ever purchased, as there are lots of perfectly legal scenarios where that would not be the case.

I believe it is the responsibility of the seller to enter the transaction in the portal. If the seller does not enter the transaction it seems to me the buyer is OK. After all the buyer can't enter the transaction because they do not have the seller's PIN.
