As much as I don't want to give her credit, Chuckles isn't completely stupid. I have a feeling she is going to look at this, see what @CrackPot sees regarding a taking, and all the amendment violations, and say some things need to be changed. In all of their excitement and power drunk cheering, I don't think they grasp the can of worms they actually opened.
Sen. Tarr told them as much. I think they know. I think they are counting on emotions trumping logic when it gets to the courts.

Magic 8 ball says 11.1 gets turned to 11.2 so they don't lose the whole bill. Wishful thinking that this whole mess is getting canned.

The sheer nerve of Senator Spilka to not hold this up for a public comment period when we know her phones were ringing off the hook on this.

To grift and take your money to be ineffective. FPC, 2nd amendment foundation, NAGR and like should have been priority.

Goal was a distraction a money suck. The NRA strikes again. Hood winked. Show me the vicotories there are NONE!

Don't forget NAAGA. After all I'm African.

Maybe some folks want to understand what exactly is happening, minute by minute? Everyone here knows this is absolute unconstitutional buttf***ery and we are watching in real time as they push us one step closer to disarmament and the gulag (jokes we fight first). I'm probably one of the loudest anti-state wack jobs on here, but I still want to know exactly all ways I'm a felon in the making - that whole know your enemy and their strategy thing. If you think I'm pants shitting over BuT mY RiFlE - you're mistaken.

But the thing is? "What exactly is happening, minute by minute?" It's meaningless. It's verbiage. It'll be changed when it gets reconciled with the House, then it might or might not become better or worse or whatever.

Nobody has those answers you seek tonight. So, truly, just kick back and relax.

But there most assuredly are SOME posters here who really do just care about THEIR STUFF. I have little patience for them.

Numerous levels of frustration here of course the existing law is garbage, as is the proposed law changes.

But they are proposing a second layer, specific to the commonwealth. While legislation has the power to create and remove laws it also creates and kills jobs in the process.

You have 20+ years of standing law that individuals have built businesses around that law, and invested their time, money into around this law set specifically.
- Gun smith working compliance.
- Guy doing cerakotes and accesorizing tacticool builds.
- Trainers / Licensing
- Law Seminars
- Specialty gun shops
- You name it.

This is just as frustrating as the legal threat to each of your pieces of property, if not more, it is someones livelyhood. Imagine being in their shoes too.

If you are referring to me and a few lowers - I don’t care about them more than I do future builds.

Yup, I feel much worse for the ramifications to the dealers, etc. than I do for myself.

Personally, I do not understand how they can say that a firearm purchased (or built) before 2016 is legal, but a firearm purchased (or built) after 2016 is illegal when the law never changed.

The laws never changed. Either all firearms are legal post 1994 or they are all illegal. To me, there is no grey area. The law is the law.

I know not everyone likes this type of music, but I have been playing this song all day (I have had a few adult beverages today).

Did you not read the FAQ?

or the EMAIL saying you could still build them out if you purchased prior?

Laws, Emails, FAQs, same thing. Right Maura?
IANAL, Didn't go to law school but did configure the PCs inside UMASS LAW when they opened it, close enough.
