Maryland AWB case Snope v Brown going to SCOTUS. (Formerly Bianchi v Brown & Bianchi v Frosh)

As Bianchi v. Frosh, distributed for conference 3 times before it was GVR'd
As Snope v Brown, distributed for conference 5 times now. 6 if it gets re-listed for March 7th.
Yes, WTF?
And since it's essentially the same case - WTF
Dobbs was resisted 12 times
Masterpiece Cakeshop 14 times
Relist record: Ryan v Hurles for 23 times (then dismissed by state request)

The Dobbs case was "distributed for conference" a total of 22 times.

So the Snope (7) and Ocean State (8) cases have a ways to go before reaching a similar distributed for conference total. Bruen was only distributed for conference four times.

They are going to hold it in purgatory. I think we have a better chance at a Trump/Pelosi sex tape than SCOTUS taking this case.

Unless they know something we don’t. The imminent retiring of a left leaning justice so they are waiting until they get a gun friendly one? Only positive thing I can think of.

Also, maybe they’re waiting to include Hanson vs. District of Columbia that was just picked up last month. Another mag cap case that SCOTUS has taken on.

DC mag ban challenge before SCOTUS today:

It would be real nice is the SC would just come out and spell out "Shall not be infringed" is EXACTLY what we meant in Bruen. So no more safe spaces, no more gun or mag bans, no more excessive stuff. Rule on one case and then refernce 18 others as "colosslly stupid by the state."

It won't happen, but it would be nice. Just put it to bed. I know, Bruen should have. But I'll continue to point to mASS having a busing problem 2 decades after THAT Supreme Court ruling. So. . . . .

Well, Heller stated the 2A applied to citizens and the Blue States simply ignored it. Even if infringement was defined it would be ignored as well.

SCOTUS heard oral arguments today in Mexico v. Smith & Wesson case. Mark Smith Four Boxes Diner discusses...

TL;DW - SCOTUS definitely going to reverse the 1st Circuit and rule in favor of Smith & Wesson, but the ruling is most likely going to be narrow ducking the proximate cause issue under federal law, allowing for state law based lawsuits to continue. 2A movement wants a broad ruling that prevents any possible frivolous state lawsuits from being filed, which it doesn’t look like we’re going to get in this case.

SCOTUS held a major oral argument in Mexico v. Smith & Wesson involving the 2nd Amendment and Mark Smith Four Boxes Diner discusses with recordings from the oral argument in this video.

Barrett is the fly in the SCOTUS 2A ointment. As long as she is on the court, there will be no movement on AWB or magazines.

She is worse than Justice Kennedy.

The Barrett nomination was rushed through in record time. It was very close to the 2020 election so it was rushed or nothing.

It's concerning for sure but in my lifetime nothing will ever come close to the RINO John Sununu telling the RINO G W H Bush that David Souter would be a perfect pick for SCOTUS.....
