Sureā¦. For now.I never desired for that level of ass-ache in my life, so I have zero idea.
@murf4321 Even though the state, as a whole, seems to be blue during the president elections, it still remains more freedom leaning than not. From what I can tell, enough people want to keep NH as it stands now, and not turn it into a liberal shit hole bastion like the PRM is. How long that will last is, in part, dependent on like minded people either remaining in the state, or coming into the state. Those places you think will remain free for the long term depend on the same things. This is very evident with all the people leaving CA for other places and starting to turn those states into mini-CA's. Or doing their level best to make it happen.
I've said it plenty of times, if you want to come into NH, come on in. Just leave your libtardism at the state line.
Which is part of why I said to get an actual safe for the pews in the storage unit. Not just inside gun cases. Also, 'improper storage' is a thing in the PRM, NOT inside NH. Which is another reason I posted to get a storage unit in NH, not the PRM.
Unloaded, and locked up (inside a safe especially) should make this a null issue all around.
The OP can put any pews inside such a storage unit (with safe) and NOT have to deal with the tardism inside the PRM for a while. Join a range/club in NH and you really don't need to worry. Or get a friend that has his own range in NH.
Personally, none of my pews will go into the PRM at any point. I don't have a permission slip for the state to bring anything into it. Which is why I don't even look to buy any from people in the PRM. Well, unless they're willing to do the deal at a NH FFL that is.
rant 1.5/10 you can do betterFor the love of Christ can we stop using the term āpewsā instead of guns? The whole reason thatās currently a thing is because of censorship on YouTube and the like flagging the word gun, letās not normalize it.
Rant over, carry on
Finally, someone said it!What guns?
Iām not letting them off the hook for that. But that state has also maintained all four branches of its state government, under Republican leadership, throughout those election cycles. And thatās really what affects the living situation in the state.Sureā¦. For now.
Fact remains all of New England is a lost cause. And a state that consecutively voted for Kamala Harris, Joe Biden, and Barack Obama isnāt the utopian place Iād be willing to uproot and move to.
rant 1.5/10 you can do better
For 33 years during my occasional morning drives to Chatham for work I cringed at all of the people parked on Rt 3 commuting into the city. What a waste of life and time. He's going to find out right away that being south of the city is just as much of a punch in the nut sack as driving from New Hampshire and then he'll wonder why he decided to screw his entire life up by doing this this way. Commuting from "down there" is basically just punching yourself in the balls repetitively.
I went from Lynn to Nashua for a couple years and thank god I was going the opposite direction on 3 because it was always a parking lot.For 33 years during my occasional morning drives to Chatham for work I cringed at all of the people parked on Rt 3 commuting into the city. FFS, 3 is an Irish redhead. You'll end up with "Hands off ! He's Mine !" carved into your back by her fingernails.3124
Maybe he's into that...FFS, 3 is an Irish redhead. You'll end up with "Hands off ! He's Mine !" carved into your back by her fingernails.

When I first started in the working world I spent many hours commuting to Billerica, Burlington, Waltham ect from Westford.I went from Lynn to Nashua for a couple years and thank god I was going the opposite direction on 3 because it was always a parking lot.

I donāt blame you on that. I think that for the past couple decades most freedom lovers in NH have been sweating bullets and biting their nails that the next election is going to turn the place into MA. But thus far it hasnāt. And the state government has been generally preserved.I hope Iām wrong. Iām simply saying that if I choose to up and leave MA, itāll be something far more extreme than NH.
lol. This guy.
Good for you, itās not possible due to the fact that Iām not selfish and just do whatever I want without consulting my family.
Also, NH isnāt the liberal free Mecca folks pretend it to be.
Good for you losing your career, income, and pension. silly me thought it part of my duty as father and husband to provide for my family. Iām happy youāre happy. My not moving has zero to do with my job or income generation. I can work from the moon.
Itās laughable folks just assume one can move at will.
Also, how about those home prices ā15 minutes awayā in southern NH? Very reasonably priced. Good job, good effort, excellent input.
Feel free to text me next time if you want to discuss this further instead of this passive aggressive quote reply on a message board.
Apologies if i came off as passive aggressive . It wasnt my intention.
Im just sick of the fair weather users here who would only move if every single thing was lined up.
For me the move was easy decisionwise. I was done with MA due to covid, not 2a. I could tolerate the at the time gun laws.
My wife wanted to move more than me, so that made it a lot easier. Had she not then we probably would of eventually landed in NH.
And while were on NH, yes, NES portrays NH as some conservative bastion. Which its definitely not. Last time i was up the entire state (along with maine) was plastered in transsexual propaganda. Not really something i want to raise my kids around. Hell, we had to stop going to a NH restaurant we liked because the owner donated to drag queen story time featuring an active child sex predator. And you think said donator had a hint of remorse? Nope.
Ill be the 1st to admit the move was anything but easy (overall). It was pretty much a full ritualistic sacrafice on Denches entire professional life
Which f***ing sucks ass something fierce. When i say i lost my career im not bragging. It's more like greiving.
But we just couldnt handle it anymore.
Granted my wife had been able to find great work here, she makes over double what i do although she doesn't work full time since we're home schooling which has been another major sacrifice/change.
Moving pre retirement is pretty much a nightmare. So it has to make sense. That said at least half the reasons people give here on why they cant move north make no sense to me. All they have to do is face the truth which is they prefer the benefits MA has over what other states. And theres nothing wrong with that.
Before we moved to FL we were offering on houses north of concord. The commute sucked and we eventually couldnt afford it, even back in 2020. Pretty wild to think 90k a year cant buy you a house worth buying north of concord. Now its probably 2x worse, the prices and taxes are insane.
Edit:engrish
You're not understanding me and i dont know how to communicate my point to you. We'll have to leave it at that.My immediate family doesnāt want to move to NH, and my extended family is all over MA. End of story. But yeah, I could threaten them all and alienate my whole family to move to NH, which is a state that also voted for Harris, Biden, and Obama.
No thanks. So eat shit to those who say āwelp, just move to NH where we also vote for democrats.ā
Nah. If Iām imploding my family, Iāll move to Wyoming.
Good. You're not understanding me and i dont know how to communicate my point to you. We'll have to leave it at that.
It's crazy to think about someone living in Salisbury MA can't have any of the fun shit. ARs, AKs, suppressors, banana clips, etc. Walk a couple min up to Seabrook and you're back in America. My immediate family doesnāt want to move to NH, and my extended family is all over MA. End of story. But yeah, I could threaten them all and alienate my whole family to move to NH, which is a state that also voted for Harris, Biden, and Obama.
No thanks. So eat shit to those who say āwelp, just move to NH where we also vote for democrats.ā Windham, NH is nice & only ā15 minutes northā, enjoy those home prices and the Windham FB page littered with liberal meltdowns post election. That aināt no safe space.
Nah. If Iām imploding my family, Iāll move to Wyoming.
Yeah now that everyone plays COD and knows what a rifle case or range bag looks like, it's gonna be sus lugging anything with curious neighbors. In the past I've always just tried to move gun stuff after dark and rifle uppers/lowers broken down in Adidas duffels. Put a towel over your shoulder and no one would put two and two together.Hey OP, a few more thoughts.
1. Proper storage at home is a thing in Mass. as has been already mentioned. Be advised that ammunition and reloading components also required to be properly stored in MA
2. When you are taking your firearms to new residence be aware of a Few land mines in Mass and whatever states you travel through regarding transport of firearms. In Massachusetts transport rules only apply while you or someone is with vehicle. If you leave vehicle unattended then storage rules (not transport) apply
When you travel through NY state (avoid NYC at all costs) NY recently (2 years? Ago) went with similar rules for traveling. Transport rules if with vehicle and storage rules if not. Plus gun cases must be out of sight in NY. As an added feature NY does not recognize FOPA in general except it can be actively used in defense after your arrest. ( this may have changed).
I am not up to date on Connecticut rules
3. What I did moving in and out of Mass was I used a metal job site lock box for tools to transport firearms. Firearms packed in box, box was locked and then transported in a locked box trailer. ( or you could use truck)
As tool box is not a gun case or gun vault it circumvents issue that a locked gun case is considered a gun in plain view and you no longer have 4 th amendment rights that seems to be a new issue
Good luck on move.
PS. In Massachusetts Iāve seen some creativity in what people used as āstealthā gun cases for long guns. Cases for musical instruments. Padded cases for skis or snowboards. Hard or soft sided cases for golf clubs used for checking on airlines. These all useful in getting firearms between apartment and vehicle.
Hot girl 13 years younger, all the guns you want, gym and bar right at your fingertips. How does one win so hardThis thread makes me grateful to live in Wyoming. My commute is two minutes on foot, I don't even need to start my vehicle. Gym is three minutes, bar is 30 seconds. I'm dating a smoking hot girl 13 years younger than I am who loves 2A and doesn't run around partying with her GFs....my days in Massachusetts are a distant dream.
The only negative is that I rent my spot...NW Wyoming is becoming expensive for locals to buy...but with all the other advantages, I don't need to be a landowner. 6,000 acres of free use zone (shooting, riding, four wheeling, giant bonfires, etc) is a 5 minute drive from my house and borders another 200,000 acres of BLM land.Hot girl 13 years younger, all the guns you want, gym and bar right at your fingertips. I cant imagine this is a normal WY experienceMy commute is two minutes on foot, I don't even need to start my vehicle. Gym is three minutes, bar is 30 seconds.
All of my neighbors give exactly zero fvcks when I load up the truck to go to the range. Or bring my firearms (pews ) anywhere.
