New acquisition August 2024

Picked this up on Saturday at KC Small Arms. Actually saw it earlier in the week and asked him to hold it for Tax Free Day. A lot of people must have had the same idea since I was number 5 in line at 9:45 in the morning. It dates back to 1954 and looks like it was hardly fired at all. Almost no wear points and no powder residue, only a little dirt/dust anywhere,

One funny thing, it had all (I believe) the paperwork to include the guarantee card, PLUS a guarantee card for a pistol about 38,000 serial numbers later.

Took this out to the range yesterday, mainly to function test and see what the inital accuracy was like. Ran two magazines through at aprox 30' from a two-handed sitting rest. The hole just under the "C" was my first shot and I knew right away I had pushed it high. But 16 out of the next 17 shots were right on, a little left, lining up the sights on the bottom of the black. The 17th was deformed due to a FTE of the previous round and that cartridge ended up in the dud can.

I am now convinced that this pistol was not shot very much. Hardly any wear patterns or burnt powder anywhere and the trigger pull is still stiff. A little bit of take up slack, then the break point feels a bit gritty and a little heavy. I had to concentrate on my trigger pull quite closely to get this accuracy.

Me happy. :)

ADDED: Used my go-to standard round, CCI Standard.

Not in my hands yet, but I scored this the other day at Rockisland, I can hardly wait, I've wanted one since I first started shooting, this and an HK51B, but I don't think that one will ever happen.

Just came in, might as well be new, not even any marks on the mags, doubt it's been fired outside of the factory, even the box has the last 4 of the serial stamped into it. Super happy with this one, and a dam good price. It's going to top my previous best auction deal.

Oops I did it again... Of all the guns I own, I do not own a shotgun. I went back to the LGS and picked up this baby just now, Beretta A300 Ultima Patrol. Got some defensive ammo and some range ammo, gonna go play out in the backyard in a bit with with it. I'll let ya know how it goes 🤙View attachment 910963

Everyone should own a couple good shotguns, IMO.

Not really a new Acquisition, well maybe IDK haha.Threw some OD Green KYPK furniture on a Romanian AKM I had laying around,( was originally going to go on my Saiga I just acquired but decided to bring it back to it's roots with some good ol fashion wood), but anyway the KYPK definitely transforms the look to a more Tacticool 😎 Had to do some minor fitting but nothing too serious! Don't laugh at the Bushnell RDS it's not that bad actually, going to see if it holds up, 100 rounds so far and still is zero'd 💪 Screenshot_2024-08-22-19-43-16-92_be80aec1db9a2b53c9d399db0c602181.jpg IMG_20240822_193345.jpg
