New Acquisitions for April 2012

Got this from another member yesterday. The one on the top is what I bought. Ruger Super Blackhawk Hunter 44mag. One on the bottom I already owned.

I just found out I'm getting an HRA. Mine has been hand picked by someone for me. I wanted a Winchester if he could find a decent one. He said they were bottom of the barrel. So he picked out a nice HRA for me. I should see it the beginning of next week.

I think I saw the chit-chat between you and Magna on the CMP forum :) (Or it might've been someone else looking for a Winchester and getting a SA instead.) Had I known he was going sooner, I would've given him an order for a HRA.

I was going to have Magna pick one out for me... but the USPS lost my paperwork in the mail. :(

Still trying to decide if I want to go direct through the CMP or wait til the fall when he said he might make another trip.

Magna picked me out a nice Winchester last year. What a great guy to deal with.

I'm going to need some help from our gurus of old rifle lore.

I just acquired the following .22 rifles:

Hamilton Model 19 (I found some information about this online... my father-in-law remembers that these were given out to paper carriers). It has a brass-lined stamped barrel, and is missing the rear peep sight.

Stevens Crack Shot 26

Stevens Model 56 Bought for $15 used in the late '60s. Refinished stock.

Stevens Model 87A My father-in-law took his first two deer with this rifle.

Remington Model 24 Take-down Needs some parts replaced and some stock repair / replacement. Missing magazine follower / spring / end.

Savage Model 1904 Found on nails in a barn. Stocks were refinished and it was re-blued.

and a Stevens 20 gauge.

Just picked myself up a Delta. Not necessarily the 1911 though...

German Rottweiler from Von Scosher Rottweilers in Seekonk, MA. Couldn't be happier with the purchase.
