Just picked this up today, Ruger Gunsite Scout .308, just right for my upcoming hog hunting trip in February.

Nothing spectacular, but picked up a Vortex 3X magnifier with an American Defense swivel mount, and a .22 conversion kit for the AR today. I'll post up some pics once I mount the magnifier.
Also had my Non Ma Kahr P9 cerakoted in black, and polished the barrel today.

I picked up the Vortex Swivel mount and just put it on...were there any advantages to the AD one?

Can't speak of an advantage, or disadvantage, it simply came with the AD mount. Take a look at the pic, and let me know what you think compared to the Vortex mount. Thanks.

I agree 100%. I had a black diamond PM9, and loved the look vs the 2 tone. Funny how our taste changes over time, I used to be all about the 2 tone back in the day.

Well I rode her yesterday and she felt freaking great. Accuracy was outstanding all but one shot touching on my first go around and the recoil was null. Thanks for all the information you have provided.

Initial there was a failure to load the 2nd after I fired the first. (Used Federal 115gn) I cleaned her up a bit and lightly lubed then gave it another go. She feed from that point on with no problem. Even locking back on the final shot on one of my strings, but not consistent on all of them. I only ended up putting about 25 rounds through it before it was time to get upstairs for our meeting. Let me tell you I am still smiling, it was the most excited I had gotten for any firearm in years. Its nice to get that feeling back every once and while after shooting for so many years.

Congrats on the F150, couldn't be happier with mine; great truck.
And to add to the thread, I finally got an M1A; long on my list... (crappy phone pic incoming)
My first gun ever, ruger sr9c, iwb holster, cleaning kit and 200 rounds of CCI blazer. Got 190 rounds through it so far, shared some of those with my dad who is excited to buy his first gun soon, and my gf, who now is excited to get her ltc!
Of the 190 rounds through it, (saved a mag full just in case) not one failure of any sort! Turns out also that the gun fits as well in my giant hands as it does in my gf's very small hands, is it the perfect gun? For now it is

I have the full size SR9 and love it, I want an SR9c also. Get yourself a crossbreed super tuck if you're going to carry, it's worth the $$$
