New Acquisitions for March 2013

Nothing special but I finally cracked the ice, applied my limited knowledge and crank out some of ammo. I took EC class @ GOAL last year. Been putting off this task way too long. Here is my first reload ammo batch, 10rds to start. I tested it last night. Got some kick and spit some fireball.

I'm saying good bye to wally world and dicks.

Picked up an M&P 15-22 at Bob's (Salisbury) today. Ran 250 rounds through it right out of the box. Perfect.

Please excuse the bad phone pics, my camera is not charged... it's mismatched but looks beautiful, tried to get the date in there, 1918.

Thanks to the guys at GFA, got this with what was left of my refund. Amazing deal!

  • Springfield Armory XDM 9 mm 4.5"
  • mid 80's Charter Arms .38 Undercover
  • Mossberg 500 FLEX Turkey 12ga + rifled barrel/scope combo
  • Mosin Nagant M44 (C&R purchase) + Another on the way next week.
  • 3 x 880 round cases of 7.62 x 54R
  • ~2,000 rounds miscellaneous (12 ga, .38, 9mm, .308, .22LR, 5.56/.223), only bought when price was not jacked.

Busy month so far, but honestly, a little bit may have been from late February, but all within last 30 days. Still 15 days left to March ... OMG.

So in the last 24 hours I have purchased the following:

Springfield Socom II on a Sage EBR chassis. I need to figure out what to do with optics. Some suggest a Larue mount reversed for some kind of a 1x4 or 1x6 tube optic. Maybe an Elcan?

And a Hungarian AK underfolder (FEG). Brand new, in the box, never been fired. I also picked up 1000 rounds of ammo for it. I have been wanting a 7.62x39 rifle for a while so this will fit nicely with what I already have in the AK variants.

I drove up to Peabody today to see Lou at Business End Customs to pick up this low round count Glock 24c. Pretty unusual and it makes me less jealous of my brother in law's 17L.

Finally while I was finishing my paperwork for the AK at Zero Hour a guy walked in wanting to consign the P7M13 you see pictures. Full Robar NP3 finish with factory HK wood grips. It joins the other two P7's I have (M13 in blue and bitone M8). Can't wait to shoot them all.

And not pictured is a Microsoft Surface Pro 128 tablet. It may just be able to replace my laptop for about 80% of the stuff I do every day at work. Very nice piece of hardware so far.

As I have said in other places, it has been a good year with an embarrassment of blessings for me. My bonus is paid yearly so I do this once a year around this time. I plan all year for it and then proceed to just buy whatever is in front of me at the time. That said, I did plan on buying an AK. The Glock, the M1 and the HK were impulse purchases. I was supposed to get a Ares Shrike upper, but I blew up my wallet on these things instead. I don't regret that. :)

Very nice man! If you ever decide to part with stuff kindly let me know! Congrats man and happy shooting!

we didn't get the german guns finished, they are for sure multi-part builds. however we had time to take a break and work on pinko guns. we got a new shim courtesy of budweiser.

to prevent the trunnions on the german guns from getting too hot we had to cool them down. all we had were bud heavies. got the job done, guns got drunk.
