Went and got myself a nice peashooter today, for cheap fun shooting, introducing new shooters, and maybe someday some friendly competition.

Now I just have to convince myself that I don't need any fun add ons for it quite yet [grin]

I've never seen one of those SVTs before. Very cool Juergen.

Is that the Soviet contemporary to the M1 Garand?

Pretty much. It was also a highly desired capture with the German forces in the eastern campaign.

Speaking of SVT40s, I always liked the scene from Come and See where the boy pulls one out of the sand (at 5:10 in the clip) and it becomes the rifle he carries throughout teh rest of the movie. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Bhzpo4AKpA

So after 3 months after getting my LTC-A i finally got my first handgun and first gun all together. A Sig Sauer p229RM from FS. Mickey was a great guy that helped me out. I will be going back there for all my stuff.

Now to join a club and test this out[smile]

This is a place holder for a nice Luger I've got this morning.
It's a very early matching DWM including the mag, likely from early 1909.
Got her along with a vg 1942 pouch.
Need to clean 'em up before posting pics, stay tuned !

eta:
Couldn't resist to post pics before cleaning them up.
The grips on the pistol are black plastic a.k.a. "Black Widow" grips and will
be replaced by the wooden ones shown seperately.
The pistol has a unit mark "98.R.5.1."
The pouch is marked "eue/42" and "WaA 300".
Enjoy, I do......

She's got to barf at least a mag full before she disappears in the vault[smile]

I've stripped her and the mag, parts now soaking in petroleum for a few days.
Then SWMBO will be stripped off a pantiehose to be used instead of 000 steel wool. Gotta be careful with a 100 y/o Lady[smile]

Pardon the quality of my picture, I really have to see if I can get a light box from Ocean State Job Lot.

That aside, here is my haul for November.

NovSwag.jpg

UMC Mega Pack of 250 rounds of 9mm, 200 rounds of WWB 9mm, two boxes of Federal .22 copper jacketed 550 round Value Packs.

Also, a Swiss K31 accessory kit from Military Gun Supply in Fort Worth, Tx. Looks to be never used.

A BSA Red Dot with mounting rail courtesy of a friend of mine from down south.

Also, courtesy of my friend a Tactical Light that can be mounted on a rail or used free standing. That will go on my next AR Upper, when I can get one.

No guns this month, but I've got something which I think is neat in the works for probably early December.

Not a bad load of Swag, if I do say so myself.

[smile] OMG Fred, That is the nicest M1A I have ever seen (Not that I've seen all that many!) but still! Thanks for sharing.
