Show me your AK

A Poly Legend and a Daewoo K2. The K2 wanted in on this thread because she was conceived when AR got drunk one night and woke up in AK's hay bed the next morning.

From Ink's build party. Shoots great except for the disconnector failing to secure the hammer locked back... It fails to lock back about once every 10 shots, but doesn't double fire thankfully. I'm going to contact AK-builder and see what they have to say, it could just be this FCG...

REDEMPTION.

I've mentioned in the past that I, very regretfully, decided to sell a pre-ban Norinco 84S-1 Underfolder in 5.56 pictured below. Not only did I regret selling it... a few months after letting it go I saw it hanging on the wall at one of the LGS's and did not have the finances to purchase it back. I haven't seen it since.

Since then, I've kept an eye out for that Norinco... but also for any other AK that caught my attention.

The other day... I came across someone who wanted to let go of their pre-ban ARMCO AK47S. What little I do know about it is that ARMCO was a MA importer and this importer had quite a history. The AK was made in China in the Norinco arsenal before it was given the name Norinco by the PROC. These ARMCO's are on par with Norincos in quality and asking price.

The gentleman let me have this rifle for under $500.

C R A Z Y.

Everything on the rifle has matching serials. Took it to the range and it's a great shooter. Trigger is SMOOTH. Comes with an original box/bayonet/sling/etc but they're not serial matched (no big deal for me).

Even though I never got my 84S-1 back... I feel redeemed. I found a sweet AK to replace it (not to mention it's easily worth 3 times what I paid).

If anyone has any more info on these AK's... please feel free to share.

I apologize for all of the photos [smile]

Norincos / Polytechs / etc... same shit. Armco got shut down for selling AKs that were not up to the Bush Sr. 922(r) bullshit. Not much else to that gun than that. Ma**h***s tend to like them more because they get chubs about it actually being imported by someone in MA.

I hate all of you people that buy these things for fabled sub-$500 and then post about it. Go to hell. Seriously.

Bad day, huh?

I actually don't care about it being imported by someone in MA (though I do appreciate the history). I care more about the fact that it's a very nicely made Chinese AK (to replace the one that I regretfully sold) that is worth much more than I paid for it. That's about it.

I want a preban AK with a milled receiver.

I'll own up to paying a retarded amount of money for it if I ever get one. :D

Zero Hour Arms has one (Polytech Legend, fixed stock, milled receiver). Some goober removed the gas tube, upper handguard and replaced it witha ghetto rail system. Asking about 1600.00 for it.

It's all good. I'm just really, really, really jealous that deals like that never float my way. Good work on it. It looks pretty well used but well cared for, so keep using it. It'd be a shame not to.

on the plus side over your old underfolder- now magazines are a lot more prevalent and cheap. And you're now firing the "AK caliber."

I hear ya. Deals like this rarely happen to me either so I was very excited. And this AK will definitely be used. Thanks!

As promised, my latest creation, not quite finished (internals polished And jeweled, outside painted). I am proud to introduce you to....Sveta, the Russian Demoness of doom and destruction.

Anyone know how to say "send it" in Rooskie?

This finally arrived Yesterday. You are looking at a very rare yugoslavian made Mitchell RPK-47 underfolder. Less than 400 of these made it into the country before the ban in 1989 and this one is in excellent condition. This is not one of the M90 models that had to have 3 features altered before being released by customs (night sites removed, pinned slant break, bayo lug ground down). These are considered by many to be the finest AK's ever produced.
